All rec soccer practices and games tonight at Southview have been cancelled due to field conditions.

We are hopeful that if we give the fields a break tonight, they will be in better condition tomorrow.

Not ideal conditions for a “last hurrah” at the splash pad but a reminder that today is the last day for the season. Looks like fall is officially here!

What a great summer we've enjoyed at the Harmon Park splash pad!! We're overjoyed to see the usage from our community over the last few months.

But as the late, great John Facenda once said, "The autumn wind is a pirate".........and it will be here before we know it.

With that said, Sunday September 20th will be our last day for the season. The manufacturer will be coming in the following week to make some adjustments and train our staff on the yearly winterization process.

So, 18 more great days to cool down at 908 W. Columbus Ave!

The demo phase of the pool is virtually complete. Crews will begin excavating for the new pool in the coming days. Grateful to our taxpayers for this incredible project!

⚠️UPDATE for Soccer parents!!⚽️⚠️

Games scheduled to play on Fields 2, 3, and 5 are still on as scheduled for tonight.

The U9 game on Field 4 between Family Chiropractic and Scout Title is CANCELLED for tonight due to standing water and unplayable field conditions.

The fields are soggy and your child may be wet and muddy after the game. Please plan accordingly as needed!

⚠️Attention Soccer parents!!⚽️⚠️

The myrec website is unable to send email and text blasts. This issue should be resolved by Friday.

The U7 soccer fields have standing water and are not able to be played on tonight. U7 practices and makeup games for tonight are cancelled.

Before the rain that began this afternoon, all other fields were playable. We will assess the other fields after the rain finishes and let families know the status of the other games as soon as possible.

Since email and text blasts are unavailable, please be looking for information from your child's coach!

The fall continues to push back on Rec Sports. Due to expected rain and storms all morning, Flag Football is cancelled today.

Teams will make up the games next week on an agreed upon weeknight. Coaches will be in touch over the next day or so.

The MyRec system we use is still down nationally. This has caused a major disruption to many parks and rec. Keep in mind, you will not be able to register or reserve a park until it is back up. Luckily our winter registrations have plenty of time remaining to catch up.

The Myrec system we use has been down all day. We are aware of this, but it’s a system issue not specific to us.

We do want to remind all involved with tonight’s BHS Youth night (Tackle Football, Flag Football, Cheer and MS Soccer) that the timeline has been moved up.

Mr Calton will be gathering everyone around 6:10 from the BHS practice field.

Flag football players will receive their shirts from Mrs Reed upon arrival. She will be under the goal post closest to the baseball field starting at 5:45. She will give the entire team set to each individual coach.
