Doris Smith recalls a moment that truly exemplified her late husbands caring nature and generosity. "Curt was approached by a boy who wanted to buy a baseball bat. The youngster reached in his pocket and grabbed some change which was obviously short of the asking price. When the dejected boy exited the store Curt chased him down street with bat in hand. He told the boy that he forgot that the item was "on sale today" and he had just enough to buy it!
