A once a week Google doc check in system is employed to track progress metrics. The data provided by check in metrics will help Tony customize your meal plans to fit your needs.

Most progress photos are side by side pictures of a persons physique. However when posted this photo I felt so inspired. So I helped her lose some body fat for her wedding several years ago. Since then, had a family and it was time to get into fighting shape. When she came in this time I could see she had that fire in her eyes. She had been taking it upon herself to learn more about proper lifting and especially on nutrition. She started the first 15 lbs of the 65 lbs on her own. For some, this might be the point where they feel they can achieve their goals on their own. However, in many cases is the perfect time to take your knowledge and training effectiveness up a notch by collaborating with an experienced coach. This is the point in someone’s journey that the discrepancy of information can really sabotage a persons projection. This is where you learn how to navigate the over saturated amount of information on the internet.

Stephanie is someone I grew up close with. So it feels weird to say “client” in reference to her. But with that point, it really makes my heart happy when I am able to help provide guidance to people I care about.

Discipline is your friend: Tony Starr

The word discipline is recited so often the word has become tiresome. Acknowledgment or suggestion of its necessity to success begins to sound pretentious. As it is typically synonymous with hard work, the suggestion is most likely interpreted as “toughen up” and the suggestion concludes there.

However, I believe the concept of “discipline” is misunderstood. It is not a trait or a virtue, but a skill; and skills can be practiced and improved. More of the confusion derives from ambiguity. When context would properly call for the word “motivation” it’s often ambiguously replaced with discipline. Motivation is just a feeling; it’s essentially excitement. But it’s not dependable as discipline can be applied as a skill to anything that you don’t feel like doing that is also free of consequence.

Think of discipline as a path to empowerment and freedom. It is a reflection of control and power over your own life. The years pass as I navigate life guided by this skill. Every time I look up, my life continues to improve. I no longer resent the necessity of this skill.

Victims to instant gratification are always left with an absence of fulfillment. Just take a minute to identify what you want out of life. It’s not likely possible without the practice of discipline. I will continue to say “skill, practice” because I believe anyone can build it. Discipline is an inevitable practice to gain or display desirable human virtues.
Love, wisdom, patience, integrity, compassion, modesty, justice, kindness, courage, responsibility and excellence.

Consistent practice of discipline will improve your physical health, mental health, relationships, self-respect and over all happiness.

Think differently about discipline.
It's your friend.

Negativity: our natural default.

This is a theory I have thought up in regards to mental health, pessimism or how those positive people stay so upbeat. It’s a bit long, but I believe these observations to be a worthwhile thing to pay attention to. I believe awareness of how or why we think or feel can offer recourse in habitual behaviors. Hopefully, it can provide utility in feeling happier.❤️

Most days, I will have 9 to 11 appointments per day with 2-3 at a time. Meaning I will engage beyond surface small talk with 25ish people a day. Most of their goals will require some level of sacrifice, discipline and hard work over long periods of time. I bring this up because a large part of my life is helping people navigate aspects of their lives that will require new disciplines and sometimes sacrifices. It can have an immense impact with their stress and self esteem. Which means I will notice what changes their moods or healthy rhythm in their lives.

While knowing a lot about the body is
important; this job is about helping people; most of it is assurance, encouragement, accountability and other mental practices of self development. It’ll often require some “emotional lifting” so to speak. Their lives have a wide spectrum of circumstances. And if I'm being honest, I’m simply curious about how the heck those happy people stay so upbeat all the time.

Most of the time, I’ll just ask how or why. This is what I’ve learned; living life looking through a lens with a positive hue isn’t natural for most people. Of course there will be anomalies but the majority of people will require something external to influence a more uplifting mindset.

Now that I’m paying attention, I will notice that if I don't feed my mind something positive, I drift into this cranky, pessimistic mood.
Negativity will come to you if you let your guard down. Toxicity creeps in when you’re not looking it where as a positive attitude is fleeting and requires some level of intention.
Those attitudes that we all envy are most often built with a regular ingestion of positive reinforcement, inspiration and creativity.

Don’t let the stillness of a scale number discourage to you believe you are stagnant in progress. It’s only one of several metrics. This picture the client has the same weight but you can clearly see the difference. Lemme be clear with this. It’s muscle definition. Not tone. Muscle tissue by nature is not big. These are the kind of changes women see in building muscle in most cases.
