How will you be practicing mindfulness this week? ✨

Mindfulness begins when we utilize the senses to understand where we are and what we’re doing, at any given moment. We pause, we breathe, we remember our intentions and our motivations. We observe our inner-workings and start to become more familiar with our reactions and where they’re coming from. We forgive ourselves for being human, and we try again to become the best versions of ourselves.🌻

Not because you always feel motivated.
But because each time you return to your mat, you choose to care for yourself in a world that constantly asks you to give your energy away. You decide that you are worth the time and energy of movement, breath, intention, and growth.

When is the "right" time to start/return to a yoga practice?

The answer is......always. ✨

It's always a good idea to pause and take three deep breaths.

It's always the right time to recognize where you're holding tension in the body and mind.

It's always going to be worthwhile to take the time to know yourself better.

Remembering that yoga is a process, and not a journey toward perfection, is the first step in understanding what this powerful practice can do for us both on and off the mat.

You don't have to wait until you're flexible enough/strong enough/brave enough/sure enough. Just show up. Let the rest unfold.

You've got this, yogis. You're already enough. 🌻

This week, keep it simple. ☀️

May we move through this full month of spring with the mindset of giving ourselves what we need, so that we may thrive throughout a season of transition. This week, our themes are simple yet powerful:

I Am Here
I Am Breathing
I Am Doing Enough

A clear reminder that, no matter where we are or what we’re doing, we can be with ourselves in the moment. We can remember our purpose behind the movements, big and small. We can find the present, by engaging our senses and reminding ourselves of who we’ve also been. We can take three deep breaths, and tell ourselves that everything will work out. The power of pranayama shows us that calming the mind does not have to stop at the mat; we are capable of taking this practice with us wherever we go, and throughout our lives.

Perhaps most importantly, we can remind ourselves, again and again, that we are doing enough. That our best is enough. That some days will be smooth, others rough; thoughts may be shallow one moment, and deep the next. Our interactions may give us strength, or pull us away from ourselves. If, at the end of the day, we can move from a place of authenticity and a desire to cultivate harmony, then we will feel at peace. We will understand, at our core, that we are always more than enough.

We appreciate you doing the work of self growth with us, yogis. This is time spent that is not always easy, but always worth it.✨
