Over 12 years of marriage, two kids, financial struggles, and years filled with the ups and downs of life together. But here we are. The smoke has settled, and we’re not taking it for granted. In 2019, when our firstborn was three years old, we looked at each other in the bathroom and admitted that if we didn’t change, this wasn’t going to work. The following years weren’t filled with linear progress—they were filled with more struggles, arguments, stress, and disconnection. But we kept fighting because, deep down, we knew we could. We were meant for each other, and we were in love. Not the version of love I imagined before marriage or even in the early stages, but the reality of love. The reality of marriage with another person. Keep showing up!
