As the showers tapered off this evening, the setting sun gave a wonderful glow. The rain showers this week are so welcome! They increase fish activity by boosting oxygen levels, cooling water temperatures, and creating a "buffet" effect by washing insects and nutrients into the water. Light to moderate rain can lead to an active feeding frenzy. That's good news for all fishermen!

Abram Gates didn't let a broken collar bone stop him from landing a nice lingcod off Blaine this weekend! He used an 8 oz jig with a rootbeer colored Fisherman's Gold bait, available in our fishing dept.
