Maniac Roasting

In the early aughts The Black Drop Coffeehouse donated water bottles to an elementary school "fun run". Anyway, I saved the thank you poster the kids made for us and this week I realized that those 'kids' are absolutely young adults now.

When we bought an espresso machine, we were on the hunt for the best local coffee. Bellingham has plenty of options that we tried, but Maniac Roasting was the clear winner for us.

We've been buying the Espresso Alectrona for the last year or two, bonus that they deliver it, and I haven't tried anything else that holds a candle to it. It's rich, buttery smooth, not fruity, it's everything I want in an espresso. One of these days I'll get around to expanding my palate and try their other roasts, but if you're looking for an excellent espresso, look no further.

Maniac produces right here in Bellingham, and they deliver to your front door! For those east of Bellingham, you can also pick it up at the Rome store on Mount Baker Highway.

I wanted to be forthright and let you fine folks know that our prices and sizes have changed. The coffee C Market has skyrocketed this past year and now with minimum and possibly heavier tariffs we just couldn't hold off. I was hoping to hold off the storm, but we simply weren't charging enough to keep going. I've increased our prices for the first time in a few years and to keep the sticker shock minimal, also have reduced the standard bag from one pound to 12oz. I'm a bad capitalist so please believe me when I say making these changes made me feel terrible, but I also know our doors need to stay open.
Thanks for your ongoing support of us and I hope to be able to roast up some awesome coffee for you for a long time!

Holy baloney! We certainly felt like the underdog in the Cascadia Daily News' Best of Bellingham coffee category! We were up against big name roasters and roasters who have coffee houses attached. As a small roaster who really focuses on local we are so thankful for all of your votes and confidence in our product.
