2024 Calendar is posted on the website (salishseakayakschool.com). As always, custom scheduling and content can be discussed and (extremely likely!) arranged when the calendar doesn't fit your needs. However, one note to be aware of: SSKS, regretfully, cannot offer kayak rolling classes. Hope to see you on the water soon, and if you have any questions, please contact at [email protected] or call 360-392-8336 or 888-858-8411.

2023 CALENDAR UPDATED
Schedule of classes through October is now posted. Don't forget that instruction can also be set up, with coordination in advance, at days and times not on the calendar. Lesson content can sometimes be adjusted, as well; so, if you have an idea, please get in touch to discuss. Just as an example, a student recently completed the Essentials of Sea Kayaking course using a Greenland style paddle. Hope to see you on the water soon!

CLASS CALENDAR UPDATED FOR AUGUST THRU OCTOBER, 2022.
The schedule of classes for the late summer and fall portion of the 2022 season is now posted on the website. Don't forget that custom content and scheduling is available, so if your timing or other needs aren't met with the published content, PLEASE get in touch! We're happy to work with you!
In the past, SSKS has limited the ages of our students to 15 and older (and have had students who were nearly 90). After some trial experiences, we now can offer participation in our programs to ages 9 and above but ask that there be consultation prior to registration, as suitable equipment is limited. Please note that our requirement that a parent or legal guardian, 21 years of age or older, MUST accompany the minor child in the activity and MUST cosign the Waiver.
Sign up soon! The water in Lake Whatcom, where our beginner level classes are held, is getting significantly warmer now.

DON'T FORGET THAT SSKS OFFERS CUSTOM SCHEDULING AND CONTENT! SO, IF YOU FIND THE DATES AND TIMES ON THE CALENDAR DON'T FIT YOUR SCHEDULE, DO GET IN TOUCH, AND WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MEET YOUR NEEDS. IN PARTICULAR, PUTTING TOGETHER CLASSES ON WEEKDAYS IS VERY EASY.

The Calendar for August through October is now available on the website. Prospective students are encouraged to register early for classes to avoid the midseason rush. Lake Whatcom water, where the Essentials of Sea Kayaking and Taste of Sea Kayaking classes are held is now comfortably warm, thanks to the unseasonably hot weather of the last month, making those all important rescue session much more enjoyable.

Summer has arrived, roaring in like tiger on fire! Searching for places to cool off has become a major undertaking, but it doesn't have to be that way. Getting out on the water in a kayak is an excellent way to enjoy the summers in the Pacific NW. The water in Lake Whatcom, where most of our classes are held, is now quite warm which makes learning and practicing rescues much more enjoyable. Now is the time to sign up for classes, either those on the Calendar or scheduled to fit your needs; and the listings for August into Fall will appear soon.
Here are a couple of pictures from a recent paddle out of Bowman Bay with students.

2021 APRIL-JULY CALENDAR OF CLASSES NOW AVAILABLE
The schedule of classes for the beginning through the middle of the 2021 Season is now up, under the Our Classes/Calendar tab. As always, the schedule has been based on previous years’ interest, but do keep in mind that SSKS will work with you in the event that the published dates and times don’t fit your needs. As a matter of fact, the ability to custom schedule instruction sets us apart, as does our willingness (actually, enthusiasm) to build a program to meet your specific needs. So, please don’t hesitate to ask about alternative dates, times, and content! Looking forward to seeing you on the water!
