It’s that time of the year, where skill development and in season competition overlap more than any other time.
Fall ball is a crucial time for baseball players, but especially pitchers, to make sure that they do not fall victim to the naturally slower schedule of the fall season.
After a summer of non stop practices, games and tournaments; it is easy to allow yourself to slow down along with the schedule and just pick up the glove once a week for practice and show up to your 3 game tournament on Saturday.
It’s for this reason that in the fall, many pitchers see a decrease in the sharpness of their stuff, a decrease in their velocity and most importantly, are at a higher risk of injury.
Don’t let fall victim to the schedule! Stay prepared. Get your mid week work done so that July Sunday you and October Sunday you, look the same; if not better!
