Fishing Report 🎣🇺🇸

Happy Labor Day from Miss Belmar!

The fish made us work for it aboard the Miss Belmar Princess today. We were reading fish, but they just didn’t want to cooperate. We kept moving and looking and managed to pick away at some albacore, with a couple of big ones in the mix.

Dennis from Fleetwood, PA took today’s pool. Nice fish, Dennis!

Slower fishing aboard the S.S. Miss Belmar today as well. We had a decent showing of keeper sea bass and plenty of short fluke, just not the life we’ve been seeing the last five or six days.

Some days you have to work a little harder for them. Tomorrow we’ll be right back at it looking to get the bite going again.

Fishing Report

We got to the first stop this morning and had some action right away. A few nice fish came over the rails before the bite shut off like a light switch.

We didn’t give up on it. We covered a lot of water, made plenty of moves and worked hard trying to find another bite.

That’s fishing. Beautiful day on the water, and tomorrow we’ll be right back at it looking to turn things around.

This whale had something to say. 🐋

We watched this humpback pectoral slapping, repeatedly hitting the surface of the water with its long flippers. It can be a form of communication, and this time, there was another whale nearby.

About 10 minutes later, the two met up.

Getting to watch behavior like this unfold in the wild is what makes whale watching so incredible. You’re not just seeing a whale. You’re getting a glimpse into how they interact and communicate in their natural environment.

Every trip is different. Every encounter tells a story.

Fishing Report

Good fishing on both boats today.

The Miss Belmar Princess started the morning with a blitz of smaller blues right along the beach. When that bite settled down, we went looking for the bigger fish and found them. Quite a few big blues came over the rails and made for a good day.

Tony from Glenside, PA took the pool. Nice fishing, Tony!

The S.S. Miss Belmar had a great day too with a nice mix of fluke and sea bass.

It’s Labor Day weekend and there’s still time to get on the water. Choose a 1/2 day or 3/4 day fishing trip, or bring the family out for whale watching.

Don’t spend the whole holiday weekend on land. 🎣🐋

Beautiful day on the water and good fishing across both boats.

The Miss Belmar Princess had a steady pick all day with big blues coming over the rails and plenty of quality fish. These are the blues you want to be here for.

Over on the S.S. Miss Belmar, we had a nice pick of flounder and keeper sea bass to round out the day.

Two boats. Two different trips. Plenty of reasons to get off the dock tomorrow.

Choose your 1/2 day or 3/4 day trip and come get in on it while the fishing is good.

The Miss Belmar Princess found the blues this morning, breaking right on top, and we got into them while they were up and feeding.

Once that bite settled down, we went looking and scratched out a few more, but the afternoon never really came together for us.

That’s fishing. Tomorrow’s another day, and we’ll be right back out there looking for them.
