What an Adventure 🏎️💨

Our first road course event of any kind was an awesome learning experience! We hit speeds we’ve never hit before, turned right more than we ever have before, and dodged a wicked wreck relying on our old QM skills like never before (Glad everyone is ok!). Our Miller Performance Motorsports Direct hot rod was faster than we were, especially with us falling out of the seat and getting sick over the weekend 🤒 Despite all that we still improved our best lap by 7 tenths over Day 1 and 4 full seconds from when we unloaded. Still got 2 more to go 😉

Glad we made the trip and got all the laps we could. See y’all next weekend at an oval track somewhere in South Carolina 😉

Day 1 of the DominionRaceway Summer Sling Doubleheader is in the books - our first two ever road course races! Mistakes, we’ve made a few but all part of the learning process 🤓Race 1 was forgettable 🥴 but Race 2 was much more solid 👊🏼 We battled transponder issues all day with the track so some positions are approximate 🫠Race Recap inbound…

Qualifying - P16 (we think)
Race 1 - P20 (we think) As high as 12th but a couple missed corners into grass & gravel and a last lap spin when running 16th doomed our race. Needless to say, a lot to learn from.

Race 2 - P12 (we think) Much cleaner race and we didn’t need to vacuum out grass and gravel or even do any welding after this one like we did Race 1 😶‍🌫️ Made some great passes but still have a few corners to work on to race in top 10.

We are back at it again tomorrow for another doubleheader! Thank you Miller Performance Motorsports Direct for such an awesome hot rod and the coaching.

What a wild night at Anderson! Snagged our first Legends win! We’ve been so close the last few races here - 2nd, 3rd, getting wrecked while leading…finally got to pull one off and take home the checkers! 🏁🏆

The full Race Recap will likely take a 2 hour press conference to get into all of the detail, but we’ll do our best:

Qualified P3 out of 17. Feature we quickly jumped into 2nd and maintained the gap with the leader. A caution came out with about 10 to go and we lined up on the outside for a restart. Way before the box, the 4th place car drills us from behind and into the leader causing us and several others to spin before the green was shown. Certainly nothing intentional and not how we race (video in our stories). The leader had damage and had to come into the pits, but Edison got his spot back, restarting us into P1. We would battle with the 2nd place car for a few laps but eventually pull away for the win!

Happy Raceday from Anderson Motor Speedway 🏁 ! Looking forward to some laps under the lights tonight in our Miller Performance Motorsports Direct hot rod 🏎️💨

That. Was. Cool. 😎 Thank you to the team at Morris-Berg Architects for coming out to the track last night! You braved schedule changes and near misses on some wild weather ⛈️ More than a logo and a sponsor, your partnership is about family. We appreciate yours being a part of ours 🤝

As for the race, the 10th and final round of the - it was mid - qualified P11 and finished P12. Got up to 9th before a caution; some restart shenanigans saw us lose a few spots back to 14th; we would get a couple back for a decent finish. Best part - only one caution all night and the cleanest race of the season! 🛀

Our first Summer Shootout was a love/hate/extreme hate 🤣 relationship but we never stopped learning all season 🤓 We had fast hot rods and coaching from Miller Performance Motorsports Direct along with mentorship from Danny Chisholm and that was all we could ask for. THANK YOU!

🏖️ We took a vacation from vacation 🏖️ to get back to the track!🏎️ FINALLY a decent result for our efforts with one p10 at Charlotte Motor Speedway for Rounds 7 & 8 👊

With Round 7 delayed from last week, yesterday was a doubleheader and our cousin was crazy enough to give up a day at the beach to cheer us on - thanks Wade! We had great speed out of our Miller Performance Motorsports Direct hot rod and great coaching from the team and Danny Chisholm - grab a late morning coffee ☕️ and read all the details in your race recap! 📰

Round 7: P18➡️P19 - had a poor qualifier last week but the car was fast, methodically working our way up to P9. Unfortunately a stack up in front and we were granted the opportunity to go to the rear as well 🙄 Took care of the car from there in a wreck plagued race so we had something for Round 8

Round 8: P6➡️P10 - much better qualifying back where we expect to be. Dropped a couple spots with the outside restart line and hovered 8-12th all night with a tight handling car. Stayed clean and smart to bring home our first top 10 finish of the season!

Thankfully, Nana & Pops just seem to know when it’s the right time to be there...

On our racing page we always strive to have fun, give some details about what happened in the race for those who couldn’t watch, and always, always, always tell it like it is without sugar coating it. Tonight is no different, but man it’s getting tough, it was a total stomach punch kind of night 🥊 💔

The Good: Qualified 5th out of 22. Finished 2nd in our heat race. Feature started 5th and for the first time we led laps in anger since our first race in the rookie Charger class 🤩 Executed a few great restarts and aggressive & smart passes to drive from 5th to the lead 💪🏼

The Devastating: Leader on a restart with 6 to go, we didn’t have our best restart from the box through down to 1&2 but we were still in the fight until….we get cleaned out and spun from behind by the 3rd place car. 🤢 We didn’t give up though, and drove it home to an 11th place finish.

This summer has been a difficult one when it comes to results and one of the toughest stretches we’ve gone through in our career. We know in the long run we will be better for it so we will keep grinding 🤓 🏋🏼

Really thankful for Miller Performance Motorsports Direct giving us the fastest car on track, that hot rod was flying tonight.
