The Town of Belmont is trying to take the Police and Fire Departments out of Civil Service at the upcoming Special Town Meeting Sept 21st. The rank and file members of the Police and Fire departments feel this is not something that would benefit the town in any manner. We urge all Belmont residents to reach out us with any questions or concerns on this matter. Civil Service is an important form of checks and balances protecting the citizens of Belmont and the members of the police and fire alike. CIVIL SERVICE = TRANSPARENCY
