Bemidji Girls Hockey planted a tree this morning in memory of Frank Pelawa. Frank along with Winnie was in attendance at every girls hockey game for many seasons. He passed away the day the girls took home the Section 8 AA Championship and was surely with them in spirit as they represented Bemidji at the State Tourney this past year. We were honored to have Winnie, Joe and the Swanberg family with us this morning to plant a Blue Spruce in memory of Frank at the entrance to the rinks. Thank you, Hills Country Greenhouse, a hockey family too🏒Thank you, Olson Schwartz Funeral Home for the marker until the permanent marker is ready🏒

Proceeds from the Security BankUSA Lumberjack Scramble go to the Bemidji Lumberjack Foundation, supporting Bemidji High School and Middle School activities. Since the tournament began in 1995, we have raised more than $1.1 million.
