We were hoping to race tonight if the tow vehicle got fixed in time. I guess we don't have to worry about it now.
Northern Renegades will be in Brainerd on Saturday, the 18th, but I will not be able to attend as I am committed to umpiring a sectional baseball tournament.
We will look at the first week in August to get back at it after some soon to be announced schedule changes by the area tracks.

Due to the Smoke, and poor air quality we are cancelling tonights races 7/16/26...come on out tomorrow for our 3rd Enduro race of the season..

After last week's mess, we finally got the last of the parts delivered about 12:30 today. After putting it back together as best as we could, we made a very last minute decision to head to Grand Rapids Speedway tonight for their Wednesday night special.
Heat race, we started 2nd, finished 2nd. Car worked very well!
Feature, started 7th, finished 5th! Battled for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th most of the race, which was very close due to all the cautions. Ended up avoiding the cautions (learned a lesson last week!), and it paid off with a top 5!
Had to pull out the old red fuel cell due to the damage, but it worked well, and looked good for the weekend festivities!
We will be off for a few weeks, but looking forward to regrouping and catching our breaths.

Not the night we were looking for last night.
We drew a 97, another in a series of bad draws. Started 7th (last) in the heat and managed to pass a couple of cars, but finished just short of the redraw.
Feature, we started 9th. Car was a bit too loose, but had speed. We got involved in a racing deal- had a good run going into the corner, but just tapped another car's tire and it was just enough to spin us in front of the field. After sorting out the 5 car pile up, we started from the back again, and started passing cars. However, in the crash the battery mount broke and the battery was bouncing around. Coming out of turn 4, the battery lost power, and we coasted to the infield, done for the night, ending where we started, 9th.
We'll do some fixing and repairs, and be back at it soon. Stay tuned for more info coming soon!

It's Raceday! Tonight at Grand Rapids Speedway with the Northern Renegades Sprint Car Series .

Races start at 6:30. Watch the stars with the cars!

Frustrating night tonight.
Drew 98 (of 100) upon arrival, and I knew that would kill our night. It is awfully hard to come from the back at Bemidji as the track gets very slick right away.

Heat- started 6th, finished 6th. People in front of me were battling side by side and I didn't want to get aggressive, so I tried a few lines to see what worked and didn't.

Feature- started 12th, finished 9th. Car worked really good and had speed, but it was hard to pass without a mistake being made by others. We were faster than a 9th place car, but it just wasn't meant to be tonight.

It is on the trailer safely, washed up already, and we'll get it ready for our next race- probably June 25th at Grand Rapids.

It's Raceday today, and we are especially excited because the Northern Renegades Sprint Car Series gets to race our home track Bemidji Speedway for the first time in a few years!

It's our only visit this year, so make sure to stop by and see us!

For the first time this year, It's Raceday in Grand Rapids!

Started the heat in 4th, finished 3rd, so we make the redraw. We will start the feature from the outside of Row 1!
Slick on the bottom, muddy and rough on the top- should make for an interesting feature!

Exciting news- we will start our season this Friday, June 5th, at Grand Rapids Speedway with the Northern Renegades Sprint Car Series

Due to family events, we won't be able to make the trip on Saturday to NCS in Brainerd.
Looking forward to getting dirty Friday, come see us!

Also coming up, Sunday June 14th we look forward to our return to our hometown track, Bemidji Speedway !

Here's a sight you don't see often- Wings on the sprint car!
Tomorrow is the Bemidji Speedway car show and practice. It's been about 3 years since I ran with a wing on, so I thought it would be fun to try it again. Then, we'll take the wing off and get serious about making sure our set-up is in the ballpark.
If you are interested, practice at Bemidji Speedway starts at 2pm. We aren't sure if we will be at the car show, but it is at Roth RV west of Bemidji from 10-1.

The 2026 Race Season is quickly approaching. We are always looking for partners and people interested in helping out for the year, either financially, or with the pit crew. Don't have a mechanical background? You'll fit right in! 🤣 You just need to be able to drive a four wheeler, laugh a lot, and be able to stay out after the sun goes down! It's ok if you can't commit to all the time, each night helps!
