Suzy and Hondo School of Dance Our Studio is a newly constructed 88 x 48 free-standing brick fronted building nestled in the forest southeast of Bemidji MN on Tyler Ave SE.

We have brilliantly colored Ballroom with a 48 x 40 wood dance floor adjacent to a comfortable and spacious reception area.

Do you know what the cherry on top of our dance lessons are? You may think it is the smooth moves you came for, but most of our customers say it’s the quality time they spend laughing with our dance community. They love it so much, it almost counts as MULTIPLE cherries on top of our overflowing sundae! Do you have any questions about it?

Yes, it’s true… I absolutely LOVE what I do. But sometimes I need a reminder that things I now have (read: freak out about) used to be the things I hoped for. This whole studio was once a desperate prayer. It can be so tempting to get caught up in the stress, but reframing things with an attitude of gratitude is an awesome game changer. What are you thankful for?

What do you love to do more than absolutely ANYTHING in the whole wide world? For me, it’s THIS. We have been teaching dance for over 25 years, and I wholeheartedly find purpose in teaching our students that they can indeed dance and look good doing it--it doesn't have to be flashy to be fun! Shhh, don’t tell! I’m hanging on to the last bit of summer, which means I’m all stocked up on my seasonal favorite: watermelon. And since today I’m working alone, I can indulge and no one has any idea I’m scheduling the weeks posts with a watermelon and a spoon. 😆 You won’t tell, will you? What’s your favorite summer snack?

What do you look like when you’re “in the zone”? The work zone, that is! For me, it looks like this: microphone on, iTunes playlist up on the laptop, and dance shoes laced up. When I look like that, watch out world... I’m ready to plan our next lesson! Do you have a similar look or something vastly different?

Choose Saturday at 10 AM or Sunday at 1 PM — $25 per session when you sign up today, or $30 per session to drop in. You can join just one session if that's all you can make, but they build on each other, so attending both is ideal.

Studio remodel update: Three days of cutting and one day of gluing and we got the first wall (of four) covered with FRP. At this rate, we will be done by Christmas. It's also going to be the only white room in the building! How odd is that? 😂
