Paul Bunyan Sled Dog Challenge

Unfortunately, the winter did not quite cooperate with us and we will have to cancel our race this year. We were looking forward to having a race back in Bemidji, but we will have to wait one more year. Thank you for everyone's support and we hope to see you next year!

In the event the race takes place, here is a schedule.

Friday 26

2-5 pm -Volunteers during the day drop-off and stage trail materials

7 pm Musher meeting at Bemidji Eagles

Saturday 27

8 am Volunteers set up trail materials

11 am Open class start (timed start)

1 pm 6-dog start (timed start)

2 pm Volunteers wrap-up trail (road crossings)

7 pm Day 1 race awards at Brigid's Pub

Sunday 28

8 am Volunteers setup road closure

11 am Open class start (timed start)

1 pm 6-dog start (timed start)

2 pm Day 2 awards at race start

4-6pm Volunteers clean-up

7pm Volunteer dinner at Brigid's Pub

Update: While we are not officially canceling yet, it does not look good. We will review things on the 13th and see where we stand. Bring on the snow!

We had some snow this weekend! Unfortunately there are warm days ahead in the forecast. Here's to hoping the weatherman is wrong!

We are excited to officially announce that Bemidji, Minnesota will once again host a sled dog race! 6-dog and open class races scheduled for January 27th and 28th...pending we actually get snow here....Stay tuned to our page and website for more information.
