The first few months after having a baby are wild. You're heart is so full of love it almost hurts. Both so happy that this tiny person is here, and so scared that you'll mess this up.

It's trying to figure out how to do life now, and also trying to remember who you were before.

Trying to find your balance again while being so sleep deprived and foggy in a world that looks totally different overnight.

It is a season of such joy and love. It is the biggest blessing to be able to have a little miracle in your world. It's also overwhelming to feel so grateful and tired at the same time.

I know this time around has been different with Weston, but I remember feeling like this with Emma and Waylon too.

All that to say, if this is you...I see you. It's so amazing, and even though it's hard, it gets even better.

If you love someone that just had a baby, please give them grace and have patience while they figure out how to do life now.

If you're about to have a baby, you are beyond blessed with the miracle you're about to experience.

Weston and I made it home Friday night after 9 long days in the hospital! He has a little bit of a lingering cough and congestion, but is overall doing well!

We were so well taken care of, and I feel so much better about surgery now seeing the Hospital and the care that they provided. Also, wanted to update you all that it was absolutely a blessing that we ended up there, and that things unfolded the way they did because we found out during a chest X-ray that Weston had a hernia where his intestines are coming up through his diaphragm and it could have meant big complications for heart surgery if they would have cut his sternum not knowing that the hernia was there.

Even though things did not go as expected, prayers were definitely answered. My prayer was that the Doctors and Nurses make the best decisions for him, and that surgery happens in God's perfect timing. Jesus was close as always, and aside from missing the rest of the family at home we were at peace and happy to be right where we needed to be.

The plan now is that Weston will have hernia surgery on April 22nd, and then heart surgery on April 24th. If you could please continue to pray for him that his body can handle all of it, and for peace and strength for the rest of us while we wait and face being separated for a bit again I would so appreciate it. Also prayers for my Parents as they are taking on so much by helping with Emma and Waylon while I'm gone.

I also wanted to say I am so grateful for all of you that have offered to help, have been there for my kids, run errands for me, and prayed. I don't know how we would do this without our village. Thank you! 💝

Wanted to update you all that this little cutie was supposed to have his heart surgery today, but it's been postponed until March 28th. Weston caught a bug last week. He's much better now, but needs to be healthy going into surgery so his Doctors felt it best to wait. We're very thankful that they are looking out for his best interest and take such good care of our little guy. 💙🙌

We are so unbelievably grateful and humbled by how many of you care for, love on, and support us. Your prayers have carried us since Day 1, and I want you to know that we have witnessed prayers answered at every turn of this journey with Weston. It brings me to tears (often 🥹 lol) when I think about how Jesus has held us during the ups and downs.

If you can continue to pray that Weston's surgery goes well, and that his heart stays healthy this next month while we wait, I would be so grateful. 🙏

We love this little guy so stinking much, and are having so much fun watching him grow. 💙

Mixed emotions today thinking about and saying goodbye to treasured friends that I've made this year as they get ready to go home after college. I'm so proud of all they've overcome and accomplished, and can't wait to see what God has in store for their future! 🥰
