Please visit the Ben Avon Borough Council Table at the Fall Festival on 9/26 10am-3pm! We will be hosting consultants who are assisting with an update to our community's Joint Comprehensive Plan.

The Boroughs of Avalon, Bellevue, Ben Avon, and Ben Avon Heights are working together on “Together We Rise”, an update to our Comprehensive Plan. A comprehensive plan is a community's roadmap for the future. It helps residents, businesses, local leaders, and community organizations work together to create a shared vision for how we will grow, preserve, protect, and serve our combined communities over the next 10 years and beyond.

Pittsburgh Regional Transit has proposed major changes to bus lines in our area, and they are asking community members to weigh in. Residents can learn more about the changes and comment by going to www.buslinerefresh.com. The public comment period will run through September 30th.

📣 Many residents in Bellevue received a letter from the USPS today letting them know that they plan to permanently abandon the idea of a new Bellevue branch. They are advertising a virtual community meeting on September 14th at 11:00am ET for residents to weigh in with thoughts and comments. Given that this is a priority for so many, we encourage as many people as possible to join and advocate for bringing the post office back.

Since this is a Federal issue, residents can also reach out to Bellevue’s U.S. Congressperson, Chris Deluzio, and his office to express their concerns. Thank you to everyone for your advocacy!
