What is our purpose as artist? Is it to make you think deeply, question reality, make social commentary, create beautiful things, compose nice looking objects, express our own inner world, play with paints and mud? Its is all that and so much more! For me I counter act all the ugly darkness that I see and feel in the world with beauty. Remembrance of the gifts from grandmother Earth. To bring something that reminds you of that moment on the beach, in the meadow, on the mountain, and in the valley. We humans have the gift of gratitude, and art can easily prompt gratitude. With more love in our hearts hopefully we can heal the darkness that lingers among the humans 🫶🏼✨

Scalloped collection making a debut at the showcase this weekend in Portland! Friday- Sunday at the Convention Center. So excited and grateful to be sharing a booth with my friends 🫶🏼

Pottery recap of 2025! Tiles, lighting, and goddess mugs consumed my mind most if the time 😍
And as I entered the new year with lots of giggles, lovely people, and wet snow. A big theme has been presence, getting out of my head, off the phone and answering to the life right infront of me. It’s easy for my Capricorn nature to take over and be so focused on setting and achieving goals that I dont stop to savor the connections with this amazing community around me. So with a renewed intention of focusing on presence, connection, and intentionality I’m taking an extend break from this platform. I feel like many artists have a story planted in their mind that we must be on social media to stay relevant, so people can discover us. 9 inch diameter pendant light covers! ✨🙌🏼 I’m really happy with how these came out! Had to do a little glaze layering of Rust and Blanc, to get the Georgies ‘latte’ effect since I ran out of that glaze color.

Also not pictured is the extra cover I made (because pottery) that warped and slumped in the final firing. Probably from all the cut outs decreasing its structural stability 🤷🏻‍♀️

Something about the rainforest pulls at my heart strings and soothes my soul. The constant sound of water and bird song, filtered sun light dancing through humid air. In these spaces I feel most connected with the greater currents of energy, I feel more human.
These motifs come from inspiration collected in the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest and Maui ✨🫶🏼

What makes you stop and drop in to the present?
A flickering candle flame, catching the slightest whispers?
The dancing sunshine filtering through a forest canopy, patterning the earth with gentle golden kisses? That’s one thing that does it for me. Or marveling in the beauty of an opening flower, soft petals cradling the intricate interior structures.

Whatever it may be, in this time of uncertainty, I hope you find some presence and beauty to ground back into your soul and the earth beneath your feet. 🫶🏼
