Hello, Lap Swimmers! Fall schedules begin Sept. 8. With the transition into the school year, more indoor lap swim opportunities will be added at Juniper. Lap Swim is available at both Juniper and Larkspur and the Larkspur pool is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 10 after the current maintenance closure. Check the Lap Swim schedules for details at bendparksandrec.org/lapswim.

Oooh! Did we say "Free?" With Pavilion-Palooza, yes we did! Come join friends and family for a Sunday afternoon of roller skating, skateboarding, live DJ music, art activities, games and just plain ol' fun. A fundraiser for recreation scholarships, Pavilion-Palooza is hosted by Bend Park and Recreation Foundation with music and entertainment sponsored by First Interstate Bank. Did you know Larkspur Trail connects you to five eastside parks and trail systems? This 3.9-mile trail runs from Larkspur Park to Neff Road, linking to the Central Oregon Historic Canal Trail, Pilot Butte Neighborhood Park, Pilot Butte State Park and the Coyner Trail (with even more connections to Ponderosa Park, Juniper Park and Juniper Swim & Fitness Center). Looking for some smoke-free air? Juniper Swim & Fitness Center and Larkspur Community Center have you covered. BPRD's weekly free educational seminar series is on summer hiatus, but the September calendar is coming soon. The first Lunch & Learn of the 2026-27 season is Tuesday, September 15.

Lunch & Learns are offered most Tuesdays, September through May, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in Larkspur Community Center’s Multi-purpose Room. Bring your lunch or pick up a snack at Larkspur Cafe; dessert and coffee are provided.
