This week, Coach Clay breaks down one of the most important mindset tools for long-term success: SMART Goals.

Too often, people set goals that are vague, unrealistic, or impossible to measure. The result? Frustration, inconsistency, and stalled progress.

SMART goals create clarity and direction:

• Specific — Know exactly what you’re working toward.
• Measurable — Track progress objectively.
• Achievable — Challenging, but realistic.
• Relevant — Connected to what actually matters to you.
• Time-Bound — Defined by a clear timeline.

The biggest takeaway? Specific and relevant goals create focus. When you know exactly what you’re working toward—and why—it becomes much easier to stay consistent.

“I literally crawled into class.”

After back surgery and nerve damage, Lindsay could barely get in and out of a car.

Her physical therapist recommended Pilates with Alexa, but she never imagined she’d be a “Pilates person.”

When she started, her core strength and stability tested at just 1 out of 5.

She was hesitant. Nervous. Unsure if she could even participate.

Working with Alexa, she slowly rebuilt the foundation over 12 months.

Today, Lindsay has the strongest core she’s ever had—even compared to years of playing sports.

Craig, 74, is the embodiment of what we believe at Foundation: keep showing up.

Last fall, he joined our indoor rowing team for the first time.

He showed up. He learned. He stayed committed to the process.

Not because it was easy. Not because success was guaranteed.

Because that’s what progress requires.

A few months later, he stepped onto the competition floor, shaved 40 seconds off his previous time, and became a national champion in his division.

The lesson isn’t about rowing.

It’s about what can happen when you keep showing up.

Movement is medicine. Classical music is therapy. Ballet is self-expression.

When members add ballet to their performance plan they add therapeutic movement, creative expression, postural strength and balance. And most of all, we see them add lots of joy!
