Wednesday Night Shoots start this week at Bend Bowmen. The first shoot is Wed, Oct 22 from 6 - 8 pm. Below is an update from Leanna about the new League pass. It's a great deal, check it out....

"This year we have a new payment option: You can buy a pass from Bend Bowmen for $100 which gets you in for the "trad night" only shoots (Wednesday night shoots) for the whole season (mid-October through mid-April) without having to pay any extra cash at the door. Otherwise, the rates are the same as last year, $10/night for non-members and $5/night for Bend Bowmen members. THIS Wednesday, 11/20/2024, we will have a pie shoot. NO EXTRA CHARGE to shoot to win a pie, although you do need to pay the Bend Bowmen entry fee ($5/members; $10/non-members). This is an INFORMAL, social event made possible by generous people donating pies! Come have fun! Bring an idea for a (safe) novelty shot! Must have your own archery gear.

Family Archery Class sponsored by the Traditional Archers of Central Oregon (TACO) is coming soon to introduce families to basic traditional archery skills utilizing the 'Instinctive Shooting' technique. It is a fun and non competitive atmosphere. All equipment and instruction is provided by TACO at no cost! Class is 5 weeks. Preregistration is required as there is a limited class size. Children must be at least 6 years of age and accompanied by an adult.

When: Mondays, January 6, 13 ,20, 27, and February 3, 2025.
Class time: 6-7:30pm.
Where: Central Cascades Archery; 1320 SE Reed Market Rd Suite #170, Bend, OR

Also, don't forget that starting today and running through the weekend there is a special rendezvous event hosted by the Prineville club Grizzly Mountain Longrifles (GMLR) as a fundraiser for Dave & Cherie Cheney, who lost their entire property to wildfire last month. The event will be held at the GMLR property in Prineville and will include events for all kinds of primitive shooters as well as a pie auction and a potluck dinner with BBQ provided by GMLR.
