There will always be someone who gets there faster. Someone with better horses, better opportunities, or more natural ability. So what?
Making excuses doesn’t make you faster. Complaining doesn’t make you tougher. Comparing your journey to someone else’s doesn’t make you a better competitor.
Champions don’t waste energy keeping score of everyone else’s path. They show up, do the work, fix their weaknesses, and keep coming back until they earn the result they’re chasing.

2.5 years ago my son decided he wanted to rope. My folks have some cows and my dad told him, we need someone that can rope. It was almost a challenge for him. Up until then he didn't ride or have much interest. I move quick, I plugged him in with the handiest people and found a horse I sold to start roping on. He put in a lot of effort. Now he has tools and can help with anything around here. He has been a huge asset to me and even hauls the broodmares or stud, or can go to the feed store and fix irrigation issues. He's my biggest supporter.
