Today’s Senior Spotlight features Scarlett Johnson You may remember her as a Snowflake, Dew Drop, or Sugar Plum in the Nutcracker, or Prayer Soloist in Coppelia, Hermia in Midsummer Nights Dream, Cupid in Don Q Dream Scene, or Giselle.
Scarlett will be attending the University of San Diego in the fall, with plans to pursue dental school upon completion of her bachelor’s degree in biology. Because ballet is a true and passionate love of hers, she plans to continue taking ballet classes in San Diego, and wherever life takes her.
Congratulations Scarlett on your graduation and thank you for delighting Bend audiences with your beautiful dancing over the years! We look forward to seeing all that you go on to accomplish!

Senior Spotlight Miss Kadence Graves! She transferred to COSB just a few years ago but made an immediate impact - you may remember her as a Forest Fairy from Midsummer Nights Dream, Ribbon Candy, or Wilis Soloist!
Kadence Sr Bio
Kadence has always been dancing and singing since she was a toddler. She began ballet at age six and spent several years in jazz and tap also, but ballet is her love.
Through her years spent in Ballet training, Kadence has shown great strength, dedication, perseverance and grace, and has been blessed with the gift of friendships and so many memories.
Kadence is graduating homeschool high school this June.
Kadence will be dancing with Ballet Magnificat! in their Trainee Program in Jackson, MS this fall. With the goal of being part of their touring Company of the States and Europe.
Congratulations Kadence we look forward to watching your dance career from here and hopefully seeing you back in the studio when you visit home!

Today’s Senior Spotlight celebrates Scarlett Tucker! you may remember her as a Soldier Doll, Snowflake, Ribbon Candy, or Flower in the Nutcracker, or as a Card in Alice in Wonderland, or Willis in Giselle!
Scarlett will be attending Brigham Young University in Utah beginning this summer. She plans to study English with a focus on Creative Writing.
Congratulations Scarlett! We are so proud of how far you’ve come as a dancer and have been blessed by our time teaching you!

Bea has been dancing since she could walk - ballet class since 2.5yo, member of the Central Oregon School of Ballet chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, IB Diploma and Honors Diploma graduate, Valedictorian 🎉 and heading into Aerospace engineering with her sights on a career with NASA - 🚀 studying at CU Boulder this Fall 🦬
Thank you Bea for all you’ve given to the studio over the years! We’ll miss you and would just like to say “Merde!” as you head out into the world stage!

We’re celebrating our graduating seniors with a Senior Spotlight! Today we celebrate You may remember her from roles like Ribbon Candy, The Dormouse in Alice in Wonderland, Wilis Soloist and Dewdrop! She has also received numerous COSB Dedication to Dance Awards!
Lila is graduating from high school with a 4.0 GPA, something she earned through years of hard work, determination, and commitment both in the classroom and in the dance studio. Ballet has been a huge part of her life, teaching her discipline, perseverance, and confidence while creating countless memories and friendships along the way. After graduation, Lila plans to continue working at an assisted living facility while attending classes at COCC. She hopes to keep dancing in her spare time and carry the lessons she has learned through ballet into this next chapter of her life. Lila is thankful for the support of her family and dance instructors who have helped her grow into the person she is today.
You’re such a beautiful dancer and we hope to continue seeing you at the studio next year!

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Closure 🇺🇸
In honor of Memorial Day, Central Oregon School of Ballet will be closed on Monday, May 25.
Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are grateful for their sacrifice and wish all of our dance families a safe and meaningful holiday.
Classes will resume as scheduled on Tuesday. ❤️🤍💙

Our Annual End of Year Showcase is dynamic and uplifting production celebrating 250 Years of the USA 🇺🇸
Featuring choreography inspired by American voices in dance, set to music by legendary composers including Aaron Copland, Duke Ellington, and John Philip Sousa.
From our youngest pre-ballet dancers to our advanced performers, adult dancers and recreational students, Americana brings the entire school together on stage for an exciting, heartfelt celebration of the music, movement and spirit of the United States of America!
