Nebraska Venom Gold 18U

We are looking for a 18B pitcher to add to our rotation for the remainder of the summer, or for the weekend of June 14-16. Please reach out if you're interested or know anyone that would be. We have an amazing, fun group of girls and look forward to adding one more to our family!

2 Rule of Thumb Examples of when you have the Green Light✅ 1️⃣ Balls in the gap when you have backup ✅ Meaning before the play you need to know where YOU are on the field AND where your teammate is!!! This awareness allows you to dive with confidence knowing if it gets past you there’s someone there to quickly get the ball. We’ve all seen the plays where a girl dives in the gap with backup no where near and the ball gets all the way to the fence - know where you are on the field & if you’re the one backing up hustle your butt to get there so your teammate can be confident if she goes for it 2️⃣ Balls that are going down are great balls to dive on because if you don’t get it they’re going to stay close by. ✅ If you see a ball on a LINE those aren’t the balls you’re taking chances on (that absolutely does not mean you’re not going to dive on line drives, you’re just going to practice them more and know when you have them and when is risky) The shallow balls coming in that are dying down though are ones you can take that risk on. This is especially important to note DOWN THE LINE. If it’s a line drive down the line you really don’t want to take that chance unless you’re confident you’ll get it because there’s no one behind you to help. But if the ball is high and going down you can take that chance because it will stay by you or you can slide into it and use your body too. PRACTICE DIVES. PRACTICE READS. Not only your confidence needs reps but your reads and instincts only improve from taking lots of reps - push yourself so you know what balls you can and can’t get to. You have to go for it to know though!! These rules of thumb are helpful but they’re NOT END ALL BE ALL. ✅ SO GO OUT THERE AND SEE WHAT YOU CAN GET TO!!! And if you make a bad read and dive at a bad time - now you know and you learn from it 🫶🏽🩷🔥

Nebraska Venom Gold 18U is looking for a co-number 1 pitcher for this summer. We will be playing a high-level B and Open schedule, including Road to the Show in OKC, USA Class B State, USSSA Class B State, and Ringneck.
