Horseback Riding with Sarah Since 2003 i have been helping both children and adults learn basic riding skills, safety and horsemanship.

So i gave them each a different pattern to ride and filmed the chaos. Muted out Jocelyn shrieking "oh no oh no!" for everyone's ears. We had a fun lesson focusing on communication, rating your speed and riding independently from what others are doing.

Great job this week everybody! Doing some work over poles and small crossrails that we haven't done in a while, more great canters from Izabella and Lucy's first independent trot.
I'm trying to get everyone organized into a consistent after school spot so if i have messaged you please get back to me if you haven't already and if i haven't messaged you and you'd like to set something up please let me know asap as spots are filling up quickly.

Some great rides from everyone this week! Working hard and not giving up makes us stronger, better riders! Really getting a handle on those diagonals, independent canters, newer students walking independently, you're all doing great!

Some great rides this week! Maggie got back on Finesse for the first time in a long time and did a great job walking and trotting independently. My Friday girls got to ride ba****ck because of the heat and we got successful trots without sliding off the side of our ponies!

Beautiful weather this week! Had a lot of students on vacation this week so the ones that were here had to work hard! Some great trots on Finesse and Izabella's first independent canter on AKA! Great job everyone!

So smokey and horrible air quality today so we reviewed some walking games we haven't done in a while. We've got hula hoops where the horse has to stop with either their front or back feet in the hoop.and we've got the squeeze game where the blocks get closer together each time riders go around and see who can squeeze thru the smallest space. Not pictured was the turtle race where you walk as slow as you can to the finish without stopping and Red Light Green Light- just like at recess.

Some fun recent rides! Maggie and Sadie cantering independently, a fun ride in the rain on Monday and learning to work with horses thar aren't our favorites and still get nice rides from them!
