Mountain bikers are way too good at convincing ourselves pain is normal.

Numb hands?
Low back pain?
Tight hips?
Knee pain?
Saddle discomfort?

Most riders just keep pedaling and hope it magically disappears.

On this new episode of the Women’s MTB Network Podcast, we sat down with Dr. Jessie Duppler to talk about bike fit, strength training, mobility, injury prevention, and what our bodies are actually trying to tell us when something feels off on the bike.

There’s a difference between being challenged by the sport… and ignoring pain because we think suffering is just part of mountain biking culture.

Honestly, one of the most insightful conversations we’ve had on the pod lately 👏

International Women’s MTB Day is about more than just riding bikes. It’s about showing up for each other, cheering louder, sharing what we know, and making sure the next generation of girls feels like they belong here too.

There is room for all of us in this sport.

Let’s keep choosing community over comparison, encouragement over gatekeeping, and support over ego.

Because when one woman progresses, we all move forward.

Happy International Women’s MTB Day 💛

🚴‍♀️ Let’s talk about community impact!

Tag someone who needs to hear this!

In my chat with Jill Nazeer from Salsa Cycles, we dive deep into the often unseen side of the bike world. It’s not just about selling bikes; it’s about empowering communities, supporting grassroots initiatives, and making biking accessible for everyone.

Jill shares her journey from art to outdoor marketing, highlighting the importance of collaboration with nonprofits and the real work happening behind the scenes.

As mountain bikers, we know trail builders are the unsung heroes. But what about the brands? Some are stepping up, investing in community efforts, and prioritizing advocacy over just profits.

Curious about how you can get involved too? Let’s change the narrative together.
