Everybody wants the outcome.
The scholarship. The starting spot. The recognition. The confidence. The results.

But the older I get and the longer I coach, the more I realize greatness is rarely built in the big moments. It’s built in the small decisions nobody sees.

How you speak to yourself after failure.
How you respond to hard coaching.
How you treat teammates when things aren’t going your way.
Your sleep. Your effort. Your consistency. Your ability to stay disciplined without external validation.

Small keys open big doors.

What’s scary is most people don’t lose because they lack talent. They lose because they underestimate the little things long enough for those little things to become habits.

To parents - support your children, don’t live through them.
To athletes -stop chasing highlights and start building substance.

Pressure is not the enemy. Exposure is. And sports have a funny way of exposing what discipline, character, and preparation truly look like.

At the end of the day, I’m not just trying to build better athletes. I’m trying to help build stronger human beings capable of handling life when nobody is clapping for them.

ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT CAMP.

This isn’t random workouts and babysitting athletes for an hour.
This is intentional development.

We’re teaching athletes how to move better, produce force, become more explosive, understand their body, and build confidence that actually transfers to sport and life.

Every drill has purpose.
Every session has structure.
Every athlete gets coached.

We’ll have TWO groups:
• Younger Development Group (12–14)
• Advanced Development Group (15–18)

Limited spots available.
Small group setting on purpose.
First come, first serve.

I don’t want massive groups where athletes disappear in the crowd. I want athletes coached, corrected, educated, and challenged.

If your athlete is serious about improving speed, strength, movement quality, conditioning, and learning the “why” behind training… this is for them.

If they just want casual effort and to say they “worked out”… this probably isn’t the camp for them.

6-week and 8-week options available.

Most people aren’t missing a new program.

They’re missing the standard they bring to the one they’re already doing.

The 3 I’s: Intensity. Integrity. Intention.

Intensity
Not chaos. Not just sweating to feel accomplished.
I’m talking about directed output, the ability to actually reach the stimulus your body needs to adapt.
Most people live in the middle… comfortable, controlled, safe.
But adaptation doesn’t live there.
There has to be moments where you ask more of yourself than what feels convenient.

Integrity
What does your movement look like when you are pushing limits. Is there a risk of injury, structurally in the movement pattern. If so, is it worth the risk? Maybe so.
Example would be Depth on your squat. Control on your eccentric. What is I lack there of ROM showing or telling us. Pay attention to the small details.
Your body doesn’t adapt without a stimulus.
Shortcuts don’t show up immediately but they collect over time.

Intention
This is the one that separates athletes from people just “working out.”
Why are you doing what you’re doing?
What’s the goal of the session? The set? The rep?
If there’s no intent… it’s just movement without direction.
And direction is what creates results.



Truth is…

You don’t need more exercises.
You don’t need more volume.

You need to raise your standard.

Because when intensity is real,
integrity of movement is non-negotiable, (in training)
and intention is clear…

That’s when training stops being random…
and starts becoming performance.

Most people think in-season is about holding on.

Holding onto strength.
Holding onto performance.
Holding onto what they built in the offseason.

To some degree it is true.

But the truth is…
you don’t rise to the level of your goals,
you fall to the level of what your body can repeatedly tolerate.

And volleyball isn’t played in perfect conditions.
It’s chaos.
Fatigue.
Split-second decisions under pressure.

So the question isn’t “how strong are you?”
It’s… how well does your body handle force, absorb it, and give it back, again and again?

That’s where most athletes get exposed.

Not from a lack of effort…
but from a lack of preparation at the level that actually matters.

Tendons.
Timing.
Position.
Nervous system.

The small things that don’t show up on stat sheets,
but decide everything when the game speeds up.

We’re not chasing fatigue.
We’re building capacity.

Because the athletes who last…
the ones who separate themselves late in the season…

aren’t just the most talented.

They’re the most prepared for the demands no one else trained for.

Conditioning isn’t Fitness…that’s where most get it wrong.

Most people aren’t undertrained… they’re misdirected.

They live in that middle zone, always tired, always working, never actually improving.

Here’s the truth:
Fatigue isn’t progress. It’s just a feeling.

Real fitness is built with intent.
Strength gives you something to use.
Aerobic work gives you the ability to sustain it.
Conditioning tests it.

But if all you ever do is push hard…
you’re just teaching your body how to survive, not adapt.

That’s why you feel stuck.
That’s why everything feels hard.

Build the system first.
Then earn the intensity.
