Earlier this summer (while visiting Oakland Carnival 2022), we happened upon Sulaiman making good use of his Bullitt cargo bike (loaded with sound equipment and whatnot). The entire scene begged a question or two, which inspired a new blog series: BLUE HERON BIKES IN THE WILD: Sulaiman, episode #1

Well, the earlier-than-usual start was confusing to some at last Friday's ride. So, we split up. One group of riders enjoyed the SF Mime Troupe at Live Oak Park, while others enjoyed the simple pleasures of the Bay Trail. But lesson learned...this Friday, we'll meet at our more regular time of 7 p.m. (where the Ohlone Greenway intersects Gilman St.).

Need air for your tires? Then arrive a few minutes early. See you there!

For this week’s Friday Night Ride, we will be departing from the shop earlier than usual: at 6:30 p.m. Our goal will be to ride to Live Oak Park (Berkeley) for the San Francisco Mime Troupe performance “Back To The Way Things Were!” Bring blankets and get ready for a side-splitting good time. We are starting the week on the same happy note that we ended last: with beautiful afternoon bridge shots from the Friday Night Ride crew. Come ride with us Friday nights through the summer or any time for a test ride! Just bring I.D., your helmet (or we have loaners), and your kids (if you have them). Have a great week everyone!

This week’s Friday Night Ride is all about the view. Yep, we’re heading west, taking the Bay Bridge to Treasure Island (Yerba Buena Vista Point). Meet us behind the shop, then we’ll head out around 7 p.m.
