🎣 Another Great Day Aboard the F/V Pacific Dream! 🎣

Today was a little slower than yesterday, and we definitely had to work a lot harder for our fish — but that didn’t stop us from having a fantastic day on the water!

We finished up with 20 King Salmon, 5 Lingcod, and 9 Rockfish for our 20 anglers on board. 🐟🔥

And let me tell you… these are exceptionally large-grade fish! If you were lucky enough to put one of these Kings over the rail today, you’re heading home with A LOT of meat! 😳🐟

A big thank-you to Heather Abbott, who filled in for Stephanie Overbay in the galley today. Heather did an awesome job keeping everyone fed with breakfast sandwiches and burgers. Nobody went hungry! 🍔🥪☕

I was just informed that we never put a post up from yesterday, couldn't find it in my drafts so here you go, we had a fantastic day yesterday, got the limits of salmon +7 crew, fish and tied up early! Hopefully, we could repeat, but only time will tell!

🎣 F/V Pacific Dream — Another Action-Packed Day! 🎣

Today we had a light load on an open-party trip aboard the Fishing Vessel Pacific Dream, and we headed down the San Mateo coastline in search of rockfish and lingcod.

The rockfish were biting! We had very good action first thing this morning and it only took about an hour to put together our limits of rockfish, along with a few lingcod.

With lingcod fishing being a little slow off the San Mateo coast lately, we gave our passengers the option to switch things up and troll some feathers for bonito.

That turned out to be a great call! From the very first time we put the gear in, we had action. We ended up landing 12 bonito and lost several more before heading back through the Gate in the afternoon.

🎣 Another Great Day Aboard the F/V Pacific Dream! 🎣

Today we headed down the San Mateo coastline for some rockfish action, and it turned out to be a fantastic day for our 10 anglers on board!

For many of our passengers, it was their first time fishing, and they were simply looking to enjoy a relaxing day on the water. They got that — plus some great fishing! We finished with limits of rockfish, 1 lingcod, and 2 cabezon for the 10 anglers. 🐟

We then worked our way back toward the Bay and gave the halibut a shot. We managed to find one shaker and a leopard shark, but the halibut weren’t quite ready to cooperate today. Still, it was a beautiful day on the water and a great group to spend it with!

And of course, Stephanie was holding down the galley! ☕️🍔 She kept everyone well fed all day with her usual breakfast burritos, burgers, sliders, pastries, snacks, hors d’oeuvres, and plenty of hot coffee.

A relaxing day, great people, and plenty of fish to take home — that’s what it’s all about! 🎣🌊

🎣 Last-Minute Change of Plans Pays Off! 🎣

Today aboard the F/V Pacific Dream, we were originally scheduled for Bay halibut and striped bass. But at the last minute, we decided to switch things up and head up the coast for rockfish and lingcod — and it paid off!

We got off to a great start, working our way to limits of rockfish and 16 lingcod in just four hours, with 16 anglers on board! 💪🎣

A lot of today’s anglers were first-time fishermen or once-a-year fishermen, and they absolutely had a blast! That’s what days like this are all about — getting people out on the water, putting fish over the rail, and making some great memories.

And, as always, Stephanie Overbay of Overbay Café kept everyone well fed all day long! ☕🥐🥪🍔

Pastries, hot coffee, breakfast sandwiches, burgers for lunch, and plenty of hors d’oeuvres throughout the day. You definitely won’t go hungry on the Pacific Dream!

🌊🎣 WEEKEND WRAP-UP ABOARD THE F/V PACIFIC DREAM! 🎣🌊

It was definitely a weekend of fighting the elements — and fighting some hot salmon!

Saturday: We battled some very difficult fishing conditions, but the crew kept grinding and we finished the day with 9 salmon for 21 anglers, including 1 bonito.

Sunday: Conditions improved considerably, but the salmon were 🔥 HOT! We had plenty of opportunities, but unfortunately only managed to hang onto roughly 40% of our hookups. There were several missed opportunities and a few heartbreaking fish lost right at the boat.

Our final count for Sunday was 13 King Salmon for 23 anglers. Not exactly the numbers we were hoping for, but there were definitely plenty of fish around and plenty of action!

Looking ahead, we’ve got live pot trips coming up, with still plenty of room available this coming weekend. We also have Big Cow Shark & Soupfin Shark trips aboard the F/V Happy Ho**er Monday and Tuesday! 🦈🎣

King Salmon Action on the Pacific Dream! 🎣🔥

Today we headed out on the F/V Pacific Dream with 9 customers, plus our very own Chef Stephanie, and had some very consistent action on the king salmon!

We ended the day with 15 nice, chunky king salmon in the box. The morning started off a little slow, but once the action picked up, it was game on!

Stephanie started the morning doing what she does best — working her magic in the galley and serving up breakfast for everyone. But eventually, she had to step outside and get in on the action herself. She went out, killed her limit of salmon, and made it back just in time for the lunch bell! 😂🎣👩‍🍳

All in all, it was a fantastic day of fishing, with an excellent grade of salmon, great action, and plenty of happy faces on board!

Meanwhile, the F/V Happy Ho**er headed out targeting lingcod and rockfish. The last report we had was limits of rockfish and approximately 35–40 lingcod, although the crew hadn’t finished counting the lings yet. We’ll get the final numbers posted once they’re confirmed!

🎣 Another great day aboard the F/V Pacific Dream! 🎣

We had 25 anglers on board today, targeting rockfish and lingcod. We had a great group of customers, many of them first-timers, and the fishing definitely cooperated!

We finished the day with limits of rockfish and 25 lingcod. Not a bad way to spend the day on the water! 🎣🔥

And of course, Stephanie was on board cooking up a storm in the galley, keeping everyone well fed throughout the day with breakfast sandwiches, burgers, snacks, and plenty of hot coffee. ☕🍔🥪

On the way home, we got an added bonus — a great whale show, with a couple of very cooperative whales breaching around some surface bait. You just never know what you’re going to see out there! 🐋🌊

🎣 Pacific Dream Salmon Report! 🎣

Today we fished off the Marin coast for salmon, and it was a very difficult bite! We had plenty of hookups, but these salmon were incredibly aggressive, which made them tough to land. We ended up losing more fish than we caught! 😳🎣

For every fish we landed, we lost at least one — and in many cases, more than one. But despite the tough bite, we managed to put 17 chunky King Salmon on the deck for our 20 anglers.

Our average salmon was running between 12 and 18 pounds, with a few larger fish mixed in.

🎣 Final tally: 17 King Salmon for 20 anglers!

We’ve got another salmon trip scheduled this coming Thursday, and right now it’s looking like a light load with only 5 passengers booked. That means there’s plenty of room if you want to get out there!

And of course, Stephanie kept everybody well fed today and threw down again in the galley! 👩‍🍳🔥
