Maryland Summer Wrestling League

All MSWL participants are getting a bonus clinician in Week 2! Coach Joey Dance will still be running the show but, he's bringing with him All-American Caleb Campos! Campos is coming off a fantastic season including an EIWA championship and a 4th-place finish at this year's NCAA Tournament. We really appreciate our friends at American University Wrestling giving our wrestlers a two-for-one deal!
AU is offering a camp from July 14th-17th for wrestlers of all skill levels. If you're interested in attending sign up quick! Space are very limited! Check out the flyer below!

We tried out an actual "summer" design for this year's t-shirts. Let us know what you think and what color is your favorite! You can't say black...everyone always says black.

Another overdue congratulations post...
It's a long list but, we wanted to extend a huge congratulations to all THIRTY FIVE state placewinners and NINETEEN region champs from 2026 who have participated in the MSWL. See the full list below! We hope we didn't miss anyone! We're proud to say each of you has been a part of the program and we're even more proud to say many of you are already signed up to come back this coming summer!

It's always fun updating our "Past Wrestlers" website of State Champs who have come through the Summer League (https://sites.google.com/view/mswl/past-wrestlers). We were able to add another 8 MD champs and 1 more VA champ in 2026! We had an all MSWL final at 126 AND 150 in the 3A4A and multiple weight classes had 3 or 4 of the top 6 podium spots claimed by MSWL wrestlers. If you weighed 120-130 this past summer, you got your work in with this group just about every week!

If you want to work your way onto the podium next year, the best way is to challenge yourself and come wrestle where the best compete! While many of the wrestlers below will be back this summer, we also have plenty of beginner wrestlers signed up as well so, we should have appropriate competition for everyone! The 2026 MSWL is now open for registration! We're back at the Landon School on Thursday nights for Clinics and Duals: 6/11, 6/18, 6/25, 7/9, 7/16 and the end-of-season tournament on 7/23.
We will again offer both novice(intended for 1st and 2nd year wrestlers) and advanced clinics each week so wrestlers can pick the instruction that is appropriate for them.

The Clinics ONLY option($125) is open to rising 2nd grade through High School and does not require any previous experience. Elementary school wrestlers are encouraged to sign up with a partner their size to make sure they have someone to drill with. This option includes the end-of- season tournament but can only guarantee competition for wrestlers over 90 pounds. We will make brackets for small wrestlers if participation numbers allow.

The Full League option($225) includes all clinics, the tournament, and dual meets wrestling after each clinic. Wrestlers are placed on dual meet teams(with others from their home school when possible) and coaches pair up wrestlers based on weight and ability to try to create competitive matches for everyone. The goal is to get each wrestler at least two matches per night if not more. The Full League is open to rising 8th grade through High School and 1 year of wrestling experience is required.

Both options include a league t- shirt!

It's postseason time, and some congratulations are in order! This first one is long overdue. Congratulations and kudos to the Whitman Vikings, Coach Derek Manon, and Coach Will Sharbaugh on their third consecutive dual meet state title! The Vikings have been bringing 15-20+ wrestlers to the MSWL every year for about as long as we can remember, and their off-season commitment has paid dividends year after year. On top of that, both Coach Manon and Coach Sharbaugh have run novice clinics for us each of the past two summers. Congratulations on another Championship, Whitman!

Or, if you don't want to mess with an auction, you can Buy Now for $100, which will still save you $25 off the base price($125)! This item can also be upgraded to a "Full League" registration($225 value) for an additional $100! ***CHAMP ALERT***
but, it also makes summer champions! Congratulations to the following pool winners from our season ending tournament on Thursday! We had over 125 wrestlers in 30+ round robin pools. Wrestlers were grouped by weight and ability so, we had some VERY competitive groups, lots of great wrestling, and lots of good wrestlers who did not make this list. It was an awesome way to wrap up the summer season! We did not get a single picture so if any parents, coaches, or wrestlers got any pics of pool winners with their t-shirt or medal, please post! FUN FACT - Counting our clinician guys and girls, we had over 60 different school represented in the league this year and over 45 different teams represented in the dual meets! Definitely a record for us and we love it!
