He has trained the armed staff of public schools, armed houses of worship security teams, School Resource Officers and other law enforcement officers on countering the Active Shooter.

California is backlogged with the need to certify
instructors with the change of the law (SB2) that went
into effect as of January 1st, 2024. I am proud to be
one of the first to be able to provide the community of
California with this service.

Looking Like A Victim

If you want to be asking to be a crime victim just walk around on the street with your head buried in your cellphone. Would someone like to explain to me what is so important to be posting on your social media or texting a friend to risk having someone come up from behind and striking you in the head. The best outcome is that you have your property taken, the worst is that you are dead from a cracked skull.

If something is that urgent, stop with your back to a wall and text or whatever. Is it really that important to like a friend‘s post of their dinner from last night.

Beware of attackers with knives and other edge weapons. They are deadly and difficult to defend against. Distance is your friend, do not approach. Even if you think you are a martial arts master or John Wick. Even being successful in defending yourself you will get cut.

As a self-defense tool, a knife is a close-range weapon and can be deadly from any angle. To cause a major injury you do not have to practice countless hours to be effective. . Injure a major artery and they will bleed out in 3 to 5 minutes. Cut a nerve or ligament and they will lose the use of that extremity. With the element of surprise, it can even out the odds for a small victim against a much larger attacker.

And again remember the laws of self-defense that deadly force can only be use if you have a reasonable belief that there is an imminent threat of death or serious bodily injury or you will be on the other side of the stand at trial.

Deadly threats are Dynamic

You are accountable for each and every round that you discharge in the event that you are forced to defend your life or the life of a loved one. At one moment you can be justified in using deadly force, in the next you can be arrested for murder. Know the laws of self-defense in your state and “Have A Plan”. Discuss it with your family members.

The mostly likely outcome of the “FLIGHT, FIGHT or FREEZE“ response without a plan is to “FREEZE”
