This weekend was an interesting one for us. I am very happy to see Shane back in victory lane. However, I cant help but feel we should have gotten the victory. We had a rocket ship all day. Going for the lead on lap 26, there was significant contact with the lead car causing a flat left front. That's all I will say on the matter.

Shane Gendron takes the win in an action packed race!
Shane worked his way through the field starting 9th, to secure his second win of the 2022 Street Stock season at Star Speedway.

Kris Watson took a wild ride up and over Shane on lap 26. Both drivers where able to drive away and continue the race. It was good to see him back at Star and I am glad he was able to salvage a 6th place finish.

The opening race of 2022 for Rob was the 2022 Bunny Brawl at Star Speedway. This is always a great race and an awesome way to start a season. This was our first track session of 2022. Last year we battled a bad car all year. We improved every week and managed to finish 9th after starting 27th in the last race of 2021. We made improvements this off season and were looking forward to dialing the car in. During Practice the car wasn’t great, but we adjusted and got closer each practice. Going into the heat we still didn’t have the car where we wanted. Our heat race performance was not what we were shooting for.
Starting outside pole for the feature was a real trial by fire for the new season. I told Rob that this was just a practice for the season and to go out and have fun. Apparently, the adjustments made after the heat helped. He jumped out to the lead on lap one and held onto the lead for the first 13 laps. Unfortunately, the clutch was slipping bad, and we couldn’t get a good restart. We lost the lead to Dylan Bilodeau but managed to hold 2nd for most of the rest of the night. After unfortunate contact caused us to spin in turn 3, we developed a leak and had to park it.
I think its fair to say we had a top 3 car even with the clutch. This was a great start to the season, and we are ready to go for opening day!

“Rocket” Rob MacRae will be racing the 52 Street Stock at Star Speedway this season. We are looking forward to returning to the best division in the northeast for another season. This season will be Robs 19th season at star speedway. We are looking to park it in victory lane for the first time in a few years.

We need to thank George Baldwin and Shane Gendron for all the hard work this off season. Without their help we would not have been able to finish the car. We also need to thank Randy Tetreault, he has been with us since 2006. Randy gave us a chance to race his strictly stock at star in 2006 and 16 years, 3 championships, and countless wins later, we are still together.

Congratulations to Alby Ovitt on the win in the Strictly Stock race. Joe Ventrilo finished with a hard fought second place. The cup trophies are awesome for celebrations!

Not a great outing for the 52 late model. We fixed our main issue from last week. Now we just need to dial in the setup. It's tough with a brand new car. We wish we had been done earlier so we could have ironed these issues out before the season. But that's raceing. We will come back better than ever for next race. Once we get this girl dialed in, look out!

We are getting the two late models ready for the 2018 season. With the help of Keith Slika Ennis and Slika Motorsports LLC. we plan on fielding two very stout cars. With The Rocket R.d. MacRae and The Jet Joe Ventrillo driving we expect a very promising season!
