Customer had an ugly crack running the length of their ceiling (presumably from a slight over-span condition with their upper floor joists). They hired us to construct a faux beam to cover the crack.
We custom built and scribed a 24' box-type beam to fit the ceiling geography exactly so it looked as though it was a structural beam. The customer is very happy and since hired us for several other jobs. We enjoy establishing relationships and friendships with our customers.

On a previous visit this customer had us install a ceiling fan and extra outlets in their garage. Then, wanting to have a sitting area in there as well, they decided to have us finish the garage. The original drywallers, as is typical in a garage, did a poor job of bedding the tape and mudding. There were bubbles, lifting tape, and cracks along many seams.
We repaired the tape and skim coated the walls and ceiling, leaving a light hand-plastered look before we primed and painted. Then 100% chip casting was added over an extremely durable two-part epoxy. They are very happy to have a finished area where they can enjoy a sitting space while interacting with their neighbors through a newly added roll down screen door.

Client purchased this small 1950's ranch home and hired me to do a bunch of work to renovate it so it could be used as a rental. The kitchen had old VCT tile flooring. I trued the floor an installed new LVT tile. The result added light and a clean new look.

Fun job adding everything electric to a client's new shop! They liked the work so much we ended up wiring their home's second story addition soon after.

Bad doors
This is from a swanky hotel that just paid an enormous amount of money to remodel several of their suite rooms. Afterward, the owner received complaints that people could see into the room even though the door was closed. The builder framed the doors incorrectly (all seven of them) and left it for the door installer to try and fix. Unfortunately, rather than correcting the framing, the installer used a ridiculous amount of blocking and shims.

Air B&B water leak repaired and repainted. The customer was able to keep nearly all of scheduled bookings - minimum loss of revenue. 🙂

Customer had a plumbing leak at their Air B&B in ceiling between floors causing damage to wood battens, drywall, and a few other things. We opened the area up, repaired the plumbing issue, dried the area thoroughly, and started our repairs to wall and ceiling.

Customer called for a glass storm door that had been torn from it's hinges, breaking the jamb, in a wind storm. We were able to repair the jamb and remount the door so the owner's dog could spend its days happily staring out. 😁

This was the state of the door jambs on pretty much every door - nails into nothing, which left the doors able to twist and shift in their frames causing binding and gaps so large you could literally see through into the room with the door closed!
Thankfully, there was enough play in the door trim that we were able to correct the doors so they are secure and operate properly with minimal disruption to the surrounding paint and connecting trim. Happy owners!
