What should an athlete leave Legion Baseball better at?

Playing baseball? Absolutely.

But also:

🔷Showing up.
🔴Being accountable.
🔷Handling failure.
🔴Winning with humility.
🔷Respecting teammates, coaches and opponents.
🔴Taking responsibility for their experience and choices.
🔷Working toward something bigger than themselves.

That isn't something we invented for a marketing post. Or BALB.

For more than 100 years, American Legion Baseball has emphasized sportsmanship, citizenship, loyalty, team spirit, integrity and personal responsibility alongside the game itself.

Baseball gives us the classroom. Growing young people is part of the assignment.

There are a lot of people willing to give their time to youth baseball—and we're grateful for every one of them. Little League and other youth travel sports do not happen without them.

Our program makes an additional investment: seeking coaches with specific qualifications and experience who can develop athletes over time, and a small salary for the enormous amount of time they invest in their teams.

And many of them stay. For years and years. Many of them came from the earlier years of the program.

That continuity matters. A coach who knows where an athlete started can better understand where they're going next.

Good coaching isn't just about the next game.

It's about the next version of the player.

High school baseball changed the calendar in Billings—and we think that’s a good thing.

Our athletes should have the opportunity to represent their schools AND play American Legion Baseball.

So we maximize the summer we have.

⚾ 30+ games guaranteed
⚾ Daily practices
⚾ More weeknight baseball
⚾ Game schedules throughout the region against quality competition

-AA teams played nearly 45 games last season-

A shorter calendar doesn’t mean less baseball. It means we make the days count.

Fall Baseball is here at Triple Play Academy. ⚾

Triple Play Academy is offering a Fall Instructional Baseball Program for players ages 9–18 beginning September 15 at 5:30 PM.

Players will receive instruction from current Billings American Legion coaches with a focus on development, fundamentals, competition, and preparing athletes for the next level.

Program Details

5–6 week program
2–3 days per week
Practices at Pirtz Field and/or Triple Play Academy
Cost: $300

This is a great opportunity for players who want to keep developing their game this fall in a competitive, instructional environment.
