The SUNY Broome Athletic Department was one of three member departments to be awarded the Community Service Award by NJCAA Region 3 as part of the end-of-year awards.

Abbey Rosengrant from Chenango Valley High School has verbally committed to join the women's basketball program this upcoming season.
Playing basketball for the Warriors of Chenango Valley High School, just a few miles away from SUNY Broome, Rosengrant was a standout for the team this season. She averaged 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals per game.
Rosengrant was a multi-sport athlete during her high school career. She also ran cross country, earning recognition for being a Southern Tier Athletic Conference (STAC) All-Star and a State Championship qualifier.
Her strong performance in both sports made her a top-10 finalist for Chenango Valley Athlete of the Year this year.

49 SUNY Broome Student-Athletes Named To MSAC Commissioner's List For Academic Success
Throughout the 2025-26 academic year, 49 SUNY Broome student-athletes received the MSAC Commissioner's List recognition for their academic achievement.

Emily Ayers, a Senior from Windsor High School, has verbally committed to join the women's basketball team this upcoming season.
Ayers has played AAU basketball throughout her youth career with the Lady Knuckleheads and Southern Tier Rage programs.
This season with Windsor, Ayers averaged 3.8 points per game, which was sixth-best on her team. In addition to being a strong rebounder, Emily also tallied 17 deflections and nine steals across nine games this season.
The women's basketball program is looking forward to bringing her aboard!

Alissa Baldwin, a skilled player from Wyalusing High School, has signed a letter of intent to join the SUNY Broome women's basketball program for the upcoming season.
Baldwin, pictured in the center of the photo above from her signing day at school, suffered an unfortunate injury of a torn ACL at the beginning of her senior season, but is expected to be a contributor for the Hornets upon her recovery.

Rachel Emery from Newfield High School has signed a letter of intent to join the women's soccer team this upcoming season.
Emery was named an IAC All-Star during her Junior and Senior seasons at Newfield. She has built a long list of accolades throughout her high school career, including being a recipient of awards like the IAC Character Counts, Exceptional Senior Soccer Player, and IAC Scholar Athlete recognitions.
During her career at Newfield, Emery was a team captain and was a member of the Section IV Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
Head Coach of the SUNY Broome women's soccer team, Chris Grafton, says he is excited to welcome Rachel to the program because she is a talented player with a strong work ethic and a desire to improve every day. He looks forward to having her in the program and knows she will make an immediate impact on and off the field.
