Training doesn’t always look like running!

Sometimes it looks like racing through the water, and having WAY too much fun with your teammates!

Our runners are putting in the work, building strength, and most importantly—building a team that loves being together.

WHAT A NIGHT FOR UNITY MS CROSS COUNTRY!

Our teams had an incredible night of racing! The boys brought home 1st place 🥇, while the girls finished 4th!

We had 4 medalists tonight:

🥇 Tim — 1st place, 9:33
🏅 Lewis — 5th place, 10:51
🏅 Rowan — 5th place, 12:18
🏅 Meagan — 10th place, 13:11

A special honorable mention to Grant Peterson! Grant ran a fantastic race and made a huge improvement from last year. Even more impressive, as he passed runners throughout the race, he took the time to cheer them on and encourage them — regardless of what team they were on. That kind of sportsmanship is what makes us proud to be an Eagle! 💙

Tonight was a true TEAM effort. Every athlete showed up, worked hard, competed, supported one another, and gave it their all. We are SO fortunate to have such a hardworking, encouraging, and dedicated group of athletes.

Congratulations, MS CC! You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves tonight!

That’s a wrap on our 3rd Annual Cross Country Camp!

We wrapped up the week by setting sail across the lake one last time, soaking in every last minute before saying our goodbyes. It’s always bittersweet to head home, but we left with tired legs, countless memories, stronger friendships, and a team that’s more excited than ever for the season ahead.

From workouts and high ropes to canoe trips, root beer 5Ks, storms, laughs, and everything in between, this week had it all. A huge thank you to everyone who made camp such a success, and to our friends from the Shell Lake Lakers for joining in the fun once again.

Now it’s time to trade camp life for race season. See you at practice—let the miles (and the fun) continue!

Day 3 might’ve been our best one yet.

After two early mornings, we finally got to sleep in… and it turns out runners can actually smile before breakfast. We kicked off the day conquering the high ropes course before earning our lunch.

Next up, we canoed across the lake for what may have been the most important workout of the day: ice cream. Safe to say the trip was worth every paddle stroke.

Back at camp, we made our own post-run snacks and got ready for the main event—the legendary Root Beer 5K. It wasn’t just about the times (although Dominic flew to the win in 17:28) it was about cheering each other on, making memories, and having an absolute blast.

The laughter, energy, and team spirit have been incredible all week. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, and if today is any indication, this group is more than ready for cross country season.

After a night of thunderstorms that apparently had no interest in letting anyone sleep, we were up bright and early and back to work. The day kicked off with a 2-mile run followed by hill sprints. Even though they were tired several athletes pushed themselves for one more.

Once the hard work was done, it was time to cool off. Campers spent the morning enjoying the Aqua rig, aqua trampoline, kayaking, swimming, and just about every water activity they could squeeze into one day. We may have spent more time in the lake than on land.

Back at camp, we shifted our focus to the season ahead. Each athlete created a tile with both a personal goal and a team goal. If they accomplish those goals this season, they’ll earn the chance to shatter their tile as a reminder that hard work pays off. We’re hoping to hear a whole lot of tile breaking by the end of the season.

We finished the day with more climbing, more time on the water, more laughs, and enough memories to last well beyond camp.

At this point, these kids are running almost entirely on determination, snack, and the joy of being together as a team... They’re absolutely dog tired, but they’re making memories, growing as teammates, and having an incredible time. Day 2 is in the books, and we’re excited to see what Day 3 brings.

Somehow, on Day 1 of our 3rd Annual Cross Country Adventure Camp, we managed to cram in climbing, swimming, games, camp setup, a workout, countless laughs, and welcoming the Shell Lake Lakers to all the fun.

We’re not exactly sure how we fit it all into one day… or how we’re still standing. Here’s to a week full of memories, friendships, and just the right amount of controlled chaos!
