All I can say is interesting. This is the second prototype. Not the correct plastic but cheap for prototyping. Design is great but still flirting with weight vs. strength. Need some weight in the back for better balance ( holes for added weight already in the design). The intended plastic will be stronger. To be continued……

Pattern for stock duplicator. Inlet for a Bat B action and 3/4” wide in the back. If everything goes well. I will design it with interchangeable action configurations. This is why I am not taking on a lot of stock work right now.

So….I have been trying to stay out of this area but I keep getting sucked into it. I have been experimenting with 3D printing stocks to use as a pattern for a duplicator for a while now. Now I am going to start modifying the patterns so they will be functional stocks, rigid but light. In my mind this will never be as good as a nice piece of wood or a beautiful carbon fiber masterpiece, but I have to give it a whirl. As of now I have a LV design, inletted for a Bat DS RB,LL,RE. This will be a bolt in, not glue in. Going to be testing different materials in the next few months for strength and weight. I may reach out to some of you to help test your already proven rigs. So if you are shooting a Bat DS now and are interested in helping test the function of the stock, drop your name in the comments and I may reach out to you. Pictures to come. Also, will inlet for a Borden action soon. Thinking of a Borden Rimrock BR unless I am steered in a different direction.
