Got reacquainted with some Redeye!

Ran out the other night with just a bit of time before sundown and managed to make it happen. Great to spend some time with these feisty and beautiful critters.

Bluewater Rod Company and great company with a Friend!

Got to break in the custom rig from Chuck Rayburn! It got a workout today! Preston Etheredge and I wore em out today.

The trail of knots on my leader from tailing loops tells a story of me needing to adjust my cast, but I love the rod. Just a stellar build.

Stellar time with Nick today!

Thanks for sticking it out with me today brother.

Fished two lakes and had two VERY different experiences. One gave up tons of numbers of little fish and the other made us work for it, but they were great sized fish.

All in good fun!!!

Let me tell ya a story….

Took the Glide iSUP out on the salt water and found myself in a narrow canal full of docks.

Black Drum starts circling under my paddleboard, so I started dipping my Clouser in the water in front of it to see if it would eat. After the 5th pass or so, I saw it eat and set into it! Didn’t even have fly line out of the tip top.

It took me on a ride for about 5 minutes, and a few hundred feet from where the canal opened back up he was running my line against a bunch of barnacles, so I horsed him out, he sprinted for open water and….. the photo tells ya how it ended.

Snuck in a ‘very’ short video right before his last big run.

lol. I love this sport.
