Got to break in the custom rig from Chuck Rayburn! It got a workout today! Preston Etheredge and I wore em out today.

The trail of knots on my leader from tailing loops tells a story of me needing to adjust my cast, but I love the rod. Just a stellar build.

Fished two lakes and had two VERY different experiences. One gave up tons of numbers of little fish and the other made us work for it, but they were great sized fish.

The creeks are alive!

We’re officially back to the time of year where double digit days are norm. I love fishing in Alabama!

Went and ran 11+ miles on the glide iSUP with some stellar dudes this weekend. 10/10, Definitely recommend.

New (to me) way to keel a Kreelex.

I was watching some Fly Fish Food videos and Cheech inspired me, again.

Henceforth, it shall be knows as, “The Keeler Kreelex”

Let me tell ya a story….

Took the Glide iSUP out on the salt water and found myself in a narrow canal full of docks.

Black Drum starts circling under my paddleboard, so I started dipping my Clouser in the water in front of it to see if it would eat. After the 5th pass or so, I saw it eat and set into it! Didn’t even have fly line out of the tip top.

It took me on a ride for about 5 minutes, and a few hundred feet from where the canal opened back up he was running my line against a bunch of barnacles, so I horsed him out, he sprinted for open water and….. the photo tells ya how it ended.

Ran into some Choctaw Bass on my way to the FFI Gulf Coast Classic!

2026 Birmingham Mayfly Project season had its final outting today! The kids did amazing, the mentors were top notch straight through the end and it was heart warming to hear everyone share their favorite moments throughout the 2026 season.

Thanks to everyone who supported it directly and indirectly, these kids were blessed because of your graciousness.

Found some Choctaw Bass today, along with 4 other species. Some top water, some subsurface, all fun!
