Legacy Sports Report
The inaugural Legacy Sports Diamond Classic at Regions Field on April 15th, 2022.
This HBCU baseball double-hitter will feature Tuskegee University Golden Tigers and Miles College Golden Bears on what is nationally recognized as Major League Baseball's Jackie Robinson Day.
This event will serve as an annual fundraiser for the Shower Of Love Project. SOLP is a mobile hygiene services, and relates comprehensive services, for Citizens experiencing homelessness.
The LSDC at Regions Field will be live streamed on the BCU Sports.TV platform. This event is presented by EPH Sports Warehouse and Legacy Sports EMC.

Covid-19: Legacy Sports Diamond Classic Response
Dear Citizens of Birmingham and Legacy Sports Diamond Classic Fans,
The health and safety of our fans, participating student athletes, staff, and Citizens of Birmingham are our priority. While the current risk level of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Birmingham is being closely monitored, we believe it to be in the best interests of all parties to cancel the 2020 edition of the Legacy Sports Diamond Classic at Regions Field. This decision has been made to safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of all parties involved with the Diamond Classic.
Going forward, we will continue to organize several of the subsidiary and community outreach programs related to the Legacy Sports Diamond Classic. While we prepare for our future events, we will continue to cultivate and strengthen relationships with Collegiate Participants, City Officials, Corporate Sponsors, and the greater Birmingham Community. The Diamond Classic team will be ready to begin planning the Legacy Sports Diamond Classic 2021 as soon as it becomes safe for us to resume our regular schedule. As we develop the next Legacy Sports Diamond Classic and future events, we will keep you abreast of what is to come.
Legacy Sports Diamond Classic officials ask everyone to take the necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health of your families and communities remain intact. We will continue to monitor and follow guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as local and state public health authorities. This remains a complicated and rapidly evolving situation. We should all be reminded that we are a part of a larger society with collective responsibility.
The Legacy Sports Diamond Classic officials will continue to remember our responsibilities to our community and those we partner with. As we move forward, we will continue to communicate with you regarding the latest Diamond Classic developments.
