JOIN THE EXCITEMENT!
League play has returned to Birmingham Hometown Table Tennis Club on Thursday, December 15, 2022! It was our first league play since reopening. Although some players couldn’t make it at the last minute, we still had 17 players to compete. The competition was friendly and intense as well! We also had a drawing for delicious Pineapple Cakes during the play. The first league play was so successful that we have increased the numbers of prizes! See the new flyer below!

The next league play is scheduled on Thursday, 6:45pm-8:45pm, Dec. 29, 2022! The club members who have paid the registration fee do not need to pay any more, as $ 10 covers one league play period (2-4 times, depending on the numbers of players). Non-members must pay $5 (Students may pay $2.5 during the promotion stage) each time to cover club membership daily pass (regular daily pass is $10). If you missed the last play, you are welcome to participate on Dec. 29th. We hope to see you then!

Sun. Oct. 23 Coaches Xin Peng and Jie Cheng will provide free coaching for the public from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. At the same time, other team players, club members, and public (pay?) may play with Atlanta Team Players and exchange notes with them.

The upcoming Intercity Cup – Team Invitation Tournament will be intense and thrilling. Atlanta has assembled the teams. Their team players are world class and nationally famous. We encourage Birmingham and other cities to name your teams as soon as possible, so that players can practice and get ready soon. Also, we need to know the exact numbers of teams and players to make arrangements in advance. Therefore, we have changed the registration deadline as Sept. 25, 2022. We look forward to your cooperation and participation.

Club Members Encouraged to Apply to Audition for Places on the Blockbuster Teams

Inspired by the upcoming Intercity Cup – Team Invitation, we are forming the Birmingham Hometown Table Tennis Teams. The team will be sponsored by Hometown Supermarket. The prerequisites are as follows: 1. Must be club members; 2. Must be active participants in prior tournaments. The team will represent the Hometown Table Tennis Club and participate in tournaments and competitions. Welcome to apply to join! Every accepted team player will receive a high quality Under Armour dry-fit T-shirt.

NOTICE:
Members of Birmingham Hometown Table Tennis Club (“Club Members”) are invited to form teams to participate in the 2022 Intercity Table Tennis Tournament. Teams must be formed and led by Club Members. While Members may invite non-members to join their team, the majority of the team must be Club Members. Every team will be composed of four to five players and may be either a men’s or a women’s team. The Club will be entering four to five teams in the tournament. The first four or five teams to apply to participate will be the ones sent to the tournament.

Birmingham Hometown Table Tennis Hours

There will be a tournament on the 3rd Saturday this month. As requested by some players, we will be open for free to the public from 12 pm to 2 pm tomorrow (Saturday, May 14th). Have a nice weekend!

Hometown Supermarket is the largest Asian Supermarket in Alabama (located at 808 Green Springs Hwy, Ste 140, Homewood 35209). It is a comprehensive international supermarket with more than 4,000 square feet of floor space. Its many departments include Produce, Seafood & Meat, Housewares (including incense), and Chinese Medicine. It also carries cuisine and products from around the world such as: Africa, China, Mexico, India, Korea, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, the Middle East, and Thailand. An authentic Chinese restaurant is on the premises as well as a professional Table Tennis court. It has a money service with Western Union in the store.

Hometown Table Tennis will sponsor the following tournament on May 21, 2022.

April 16, 2022 will be the third Saturday again! From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Hometown Table Tennis will be open for free to the Public!

March the19th will be the 3rd Saturday for this month. It will be our Open Day. Come play for free from 12 PM to 2 PM.
