Showed alot of speed last night, did not get the results we deserved. Magouyrk and Stern both lead laps and had fast cars. Martin scored the best finish for the second week in a row, just missing a top 10.

Boys at the shop have unloaded the 28 truck, not much work to do here for next week besides some fresh paint! In the meantime we’re just gonna take one last look at this awesome Atlanta Braves scheme that Cody Magouyrk raced to a hard fought 7th place finish at EchoPark Speedway!

Magouyrk’s night of perseverance sees RV2 Motorsports score a hard fought 7th place finish at OSR Atlanta

The RV2 Team would head to EchoPark Speedway for the Ohio Sim Racing Truck Series, with Cody Magouyrk behind the wheel of a special Jerry Nadeau Atlanta Braves throwback scheme for this race. The team would unload a rocket and get themselves solidly in the race, qualifying 20th in a session that saw 43 trucks attempt to qualify for 38 spots. Magouyrk would prove early on that the truck was even better in race trim, as the 28 would move up to the outskirts of the top 10 before the first incident of the race. The team would make escapes during the race that would have made Houdini proud, missing multiple wrecks while only taking minimal scrapes during the high banked action. As the race would unfold in the late stages, the 28 would find itself back on the door of a top 10, with a 4 lap shootout following a late caution. Magouyrk would make the save of his race on the last lap of turn 3, getting turned sideways on the bottom lane, the diehard Braves fan would show great car control, not only saving the truck but gaining two more spots missing the wreck and bringing the 28 home for a 7th place finish! After weeks of frustration the 28 team would finally secure a result that they could be proud of, and will look to build on their momentum for next week!

What didn’t we fight. Lose internet right as we’re about to grid, lose 4 laps because of that ( thank you Spectrum for that!) then get on track and get shoved into a wreck we had missed, fix that damage only to get nailed again by somebody wrecking and not holding their brakes, fix that damage again, just so we can drive from 37th into the top 25 and blow an engine. Had a good car, but this 28 has been cursed for the last two months now. Sorry to E Racing Designs for the result, was a great scheme and it deserved better.

RV2 Motorsports joins forces once again with E Racing Designs for the iRacing Daytona 500

Cody Magouyrk will make his 4th start in the Great American race, sporting familiar colors to longtime RV2 fans. ERacing Deaigns owned by Rob Evans will be back as primary sponsor for the prestigious event, marking the third time that the design company has been a primary sponsor for the team in the 500. Magouyrk will once again look to capture his first ever 500 win coming off a career high finish of 7th last year.

P24 for Cody Magouyrk in the Bass Pro Shops 28 at Daytona International Speedway in the Ohio Sim Racing opener. The result don’t show the hard fought effort for the 28. No teammates and still went out and qualified its way into the race 13th out of 39 cars, spent the majority of the race in or around the top 10 and was clean all night until the very end. Proud of the effort and what was accomplished by ourselves, hopefully we gained some respect in how we raced last night. On to the next one!
