You accept failure in the gym without thinking twice.

Missed rep? Adjust. Bad set? Come back tomorrow. Tripped on your double unders? Reset and go again.

But ask someone to overhaul how they eat? Start a new habit? Make a change theyโ€™ve tried before and โ€œfailedโ€ at?

Suddenly failure feels final.

The stars are never going to align. I need you to stop waiting for them to.

I have done this work broke. I have done it sick. I have done it hurt. I have done it solo parenting with toddlers to teenagers and rusty dumbbells in my basement. Now through perimenopause and building a business from scratch.

There has never been a perfect window. There will not be one. Life is always happening around you, to you, at you.

The goal is not to wait for a quieter season. The goal is to build something so sustainable and so aligned with your actual life that it holds even in the hard ones. ๐Ÿซก

Iโ€™ve been breaking down everything youโ€™d want to know before starting a GLP-1 over the last few weeks. These are tips Iโ€™d give anyone honestly, considering medication or not, because itโ€™s the foundation of the work that I do. They still apply if youโ€™re on them as well.

Your body already makes GLP-1. The goal is to support that system as well as you possibly can, and guess what? It looks a lot like just eating well and moving consistently.

Protein at your meals. Fiber rich whole foods. Balanced meals throughout the day instead of isolated snacks. Slowing down when you eat. Taking care of your gut. Moving your body regularly.

These arenโ€™t hacks. This is just alignment, and it works with or without a prescription.

My husband literally scopes me out every time I flex... but sure, I shouldnโ€™t lift heavy ๐Ÿ˜‚

Meanwhile, inside my program, couples are out here going into deficits together, filling in each otherโ€™s gaps, and building something that actually sticks because accountability hits different when it lives in your own house.

Most of my top members are a couple duo. Same household, different strengths, common goal.

Is your partner your biggest accountability asset โ€” or are you silently plotting their demise while they eat ice cream in front of you? ๐Ÿ‘‡

This may hit a nerveโ€ฆ especially if youโ€™ve spent money on gut tests and supplements.

But if youโ€™re working out, eating well, and still dealing with bloating, constipation, or inconsistent digestionโ€ฆ jumping straight to expensive tests, supplements, and restrictive protocols probably isnโ€™t your first step.

Those things can have a place. But a lot of whatโ€™s out there is very cookie-cutter.

Same supplements.
Same restrictions.
Same protocols.

Without actually looking at you.

Your habits.
Your routine.
Your stress.
Your environment.

Because more often than not, itโ€™s the day-to-day patterns that are driving a lot of these symptoms. And when you actually start there, you can see a lot of improvement without spending hundreds of dollars.

Then, if needed, you layer in support. Not the other way around.

What made the difference for Amy wasnโ€™t just having a planโ€ฆ
it was having an approach that actually fit her.

Amy and I had already worked together for years, but this past year gave us the space to move away from a more structured, one-size-fits-all approach and truly tailor her coaching to her body and her goals.

We were able to slow things down and adjust for what was actually going on in her body. Things like digestion, stress, glucose regulation, and hormonal changes. And from there, build a plan that supported her health, her goals, and the season sheโ€™s in.

This is where real progress happens.

This is one of my favorite kinds of transformations to share.

Sherri has gone from a size ๐Ÿฒโ€“8 ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฎ ๐Ÿฎโ€“4 while her weight has stayed relatively stable. A clear example of body recomposition built through strength training, aligned nutrition, and consistency.

That didnโ€™t come from eating less or pushing harder.

It came from:
โ€ข Increasing calories to support her lifts
โ€ข Reducing processed foods
โ€ข Making targeted tweaks to support digestion
โ€ข And staying consistent with programming she actually enjoys

This is the most consistent sheโ€™s ever been and it shows not just in how her clothes fit, but in how strong and capable she feels.

Davidโ€™s journey followed naturally.
He started with training, got stronger, noticed his shoulder feeling better โ€” and then chose to bring nutrition into the mix when it felt like the right next step.

Now heโ€™s:
โ€ข Lifting stronger
โ€ข Training without constant shoulder pain
โ€ข Experiencing better digestion

Consistency gets easier when your habits donโ€™t feel punishing.
Small wins, gentle structure, and a little play go a long way, especially in midlife when stress, hormones, and real life are already full.

Whether itโ€™s journaling, movement, hydration, or food choices, the goal isnโ€™t a perfect streak; itโ€™s building habits that actually support your nervous system, metabolism, and energy.

Not because sunlight is magicโ€ฆ but because our biology depends on regular light exposure to regulate everything from mood to energy to metabolic health.

Iโ€™ve been talking recently about getting outside for walks, even though I absolutely hate the cold. Those few minutes outside? They help anchor my mood, my energy, my sleep, my appetiteโ€ฆ all the things that tend to drift this time of year.

Itโ€™s one of my own ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐˜† ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜๐˜€ โ€” the small, doable actions (Iโ€™ve been emailing about) that stack up into real momentum.

Not perfection. Not forcing yourself into extreme routines.
Just tiny, supportive choices that remind your body, โ€œIโ€™m here. Iโ€™m taking care of you.โ€
