Choosing a bright colors vs. a non bright color is one of easiest and best ways to improve water safety, as choosing a neon colors such as pink, orange, yellow and green are much easier to see (as you can see in the video the difference of visibility) on both the surface and underwater, helping parents and lifeguards quickly locate children. While no swimsuit can replace active supervision, increased visibility can make a critical difference in and around the water.

“But why does matter what color swimsuit my child wears into the water”

💛 Bright colors like neon pink, orange, yellow, and lime green:

* Stand out against blue pool water.
* Are easier to spot from a distance.
* Help parents and lifeguards quickly locate a child.
* Remain more visible underwater if a child slips beneath the surface.

🖤 Colors to avoid when possible:

* Blue, light blue, gray, and white can blend into pool water.
* Dark colors like black and navy can be harder to see in shadows or deeper water.

For swim safety, visibility matters. Drowning is often silent and can happen in seconds, so a brightly colored swimsuit can provide an extra layer of protection by making it easier to keep eyes on your child.

"Ditch the Floaties": the Dangers of the Popular "Puddle Jumper" 05/17/2026

Hey yall, with summer coming up, we wanted to send a friendly reminder about why we encourage families to avoid using puddle jumpers at the lake, beach, neighborhood pool, and other swimming environments. While they may seem helpful, puddle jumpers can create a false sense of confidence in the water and often encourage an upright body position that is not natural for safe swimming.

"Ditch the Floaties": the Dangers of the Popular "Puddle Jumper" A discussion behind the science of how children learn and what puddle jumpers are really teaching them.
