Dee Jackson-Sports Anchor caught up with Dr. Vincent Key, head team physician for the Kansas City Royals, and occupational therapist Brian Mills at the squad's spring training in Surprise, Arizona, to talk about arm care and injury prevention. Whether you play baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball or you are a competitive swimmer, they say preparation is key to preventing shoulder, elbow and other sports-related injuries in overhead athletes.

Patrick Mahomes has inspired me and the Chiefs Kingdom in many ways on and off the field! So, with that inspiration, I had to make and paint my Halloween costume based on the Mahomes Magic CRUNCH cereal box. I am hoping for a good recovery of Patrick to return to the game.

I wish I could say I was surprised that Jackson was let go, but I’m not!
It disturbs me that he too has “seen coworkers I completely trusted and respected, flat out lie under oath to discredit my efforts, commitment and contribution in a collective attempt to weaken my case.” ~Jackson said.
When I was suspended from KSHB - 41 Action News after sharing an article on Facebook, I was surprised that my former coworker/work friend, was calling for me to be fired! Christa and I had worked together for more than a decade.
She sent an email to HR saying, “Scott, is this okay? I can’t help but think it would be a possible fireable offense” the very day she saw The Guardian.com “white tears” article by on my personal FB page.
No questions; no conversations.
Christa is well aware of her position in the racial hierarchy and in the 41 Action News - KSHB-TV
newsroom.
And the company, The E.W. Scripps Company, systemically supports it. I have no doubt that Christa played a role in Dee Jackson-Sports Anchor’s lack of opportunity.
I only wonder how someone who uses her power, position and voice to silence people of color, continues to be the trusted face and voice of Kansas City, Missouri.

WATCH VIDEO: Some of my favorite stories are the ones I get to do on people I know personally. I met Coach Grady Brown when we were both Student Athletes at Alabama A&M. We both worked in Montgomery at the same time as well and he has climbed the coaching ranks and is an Assistant Coach for Mike Tomlin with the Pittsburgh Steelers! In an ironic twist, just before we sat down to shoot the interview, I looked in the glass trophy case you see in the story, and there was a class picture of my Dad as a high school senior!
