🚧🐴 Outdoor Arena Update: Progress from the Ground Up!

Things are moving right along with our outdoor arena renovation at Black Top Ranch! 🙌

💧 Step 1: Drainage — COMPLETE! ✅
Our new drainage system is officially installed! Proper drainage is key to maintaining consistent footing, preventing water buildup, and keeping the arena rideable through changing weather conditions.

🚜 What's Next?
➡️ Installing retainers around the arena perimeter to help keep everything in place.
➡️ Building up the new base layers to create a stable, supportive foundation.
➡️ Bringing in the final footing layers to finish things off!

There's a lot more to building a great riding surface than just bringing in some pretty sand! Every layer matters when it comes to drainage, stability, performance, and long-term maintenance.

We're excited to see this project coming together and can't wait to get horses back in the arena! 🐎

Golden hour looks a little different around here! 🌅🐴✨

Evening checks on our recip mares come with some pretty incredible views! There’s nothing quite like watching the sun dip below the pasture while making sure our girls are happy and healthy. 🐎❤️

Beautiful sunsets, peaceful pastures, and some very special mares — just another reason we love what we do! 🌾

☀️🐴 The Nursery Crew is BACK in action!

After what feels like endless rain, muddy turnouts, and a little too much time indoors, the sunshine is finally back and our nursery crew couldn’t be happier to stretch their legs! 🌱

We’ve added two new faces to the crew, and it looks like everyone has officially picked their pasture bestie!

Meanwhile, Uncle Doodle is enjoying some unplanned PTO while recovering from a foot abscess. Our resident babysitter is currently on stall rest, but we’re hoping he’ll be back on duty supervising his littles very soon!

Until then, the kids are making the most of the sunshine, fresh air, and a little less adult supervision. 😂
