EISF Horseracing

EISF Horseracing Live racing will return at Eastern Idaho State Fair Sunday September 5, Monday September 6, Friday September 10 and Saturday September 11, 2027!

If you would be interested in advertising or sponsoring during the 2027 race meet please send us a message! Pari-mutuel horse racing every year at the Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot, Idaho. Our fair begins the Friday prior Labor Day each year. EISF has a 100+ year history of providing the largest variety of entertainment throughout our 8 day fair. Live horse racing is held Sunday, Monday, Friday and the closing Saturday of the fair.

Thank you to our horsemen! Without the owners and trainers there is no show. This year brought us familiar friends and new horsemen who have become friends! We keep the tradition alive of competing on the oval and being track family and friends in the barns! We saw horsemen come from Canada, New Mexico, South Dakota, Montana, Utah and Idaho! I may have missed a location or two, but we are thankful you have chose to be a part of EISF Horseracing ❤️

Congratulations Jesus Flores. He was the winner of the Inaugural Chris Bowen Spirit of a Jockey Award. This award was determined by vote of his fellow jockeys, the paddock crew, pony riders and starting gate crew. We would like to Thank K/B Leather for their generous donation of a custom embroidered racing saddle and Eastern Idaho State Fair and Donna Cronquist for the trophy.
