At a press conference this morning, the club's owner, Dr. Bill McGuire, announced that Minnesota Stars FC has rebranded as Minnesota United FC. Forward Max Griffin, pictured with the ball, has signed with the club. The Californian has scored 27 goals in his first three pro seasons and was the 2010 USSF Rookie of the Year with the Austin Aztex before spending two seasons with Orlando City and the LA Blues (on loan) in USLPro. He signed a two year contract this morning, then scored four goals in scrimmages during his first day of training. Welcome to the club, Max!
