😂😂 Your body was designed to move in way more ranges of motion than the few exercises you do at the gym.

Daily life is NOT “good form” or robotic movement patterns.

If we only train a small handful of ranges of motion, we’re only creating strength and control in those ranges. So when life or sport takes us outside of those ranges, we’re limited, weak, and susceptible to injury. That’s not a good sign.

Homo Sapiens were intended to be athletic, mobile, and have variability in our movement. This aided our survival through primitive times and it contributes to our quality of life in current times.

We’ve evolved to a sedentary lifestyle and have created exercise to offset that. Yet the exercises most people prioritize have nothing to do with how well they move (usually it’s aesthetics/ego). Then when their body breaks down, they’re confused.

It’s not that you’re just “getting old” and it’s not that you need to maintain better “form” throughout your life…you’re not a robot.

What you need is to develop greater movement capacity (*cough* high level mobility training). That’s what will allow you to live with more freedom, resilience, and better quality of life.
