We had a fabulous weekend at the Kevin Martin Curling Academy hosted by Four Seasons Curling Center. We are so fortunate that we get to hangout and learn from the greatest curlers in the sport. A BIG THANK YOU to TCCA, Terrapin Curling, and Regan and Todd Birr for giving us this phenomenal opportunity and experience. We get to hangout with the coolest people! 🥌🥌🥌🥌💪💪💪💪

This week we have curling camp. Day 2 started bright and early with workouts. The camp is run by USA Curling and it is a time to practice on the ice, get coached on how you are doing with your delivery, sweeping, and strategy. It is really easy to pick up some bad habits. They have classroom time where you discuss nutrition, weight training, and the mental aspect of this sport, especially if you play competitively. Camp is also a wonderful time to hangout in a non-competitive atmosphere with other curlers. You build friendships with people from across the country. We look forward to it every year.

From teammates to the competition. These two will be skipping against each other at 5:30pm today in Chaska at the Bev Schroeder Memorial Junior Bonspiel. Either Team A. Mihm ( Alice, Aanya, Kailee, and Leah) or Team D. Mihm (David, Gavin, Will and Henry) will be moving onto the A Event Final. The team that takes the loss goes to the C Event and has extra curling to prove themselves. 😉😉😉 Let the sibling rivalry commence.

We ended up 3-1 in the Doubles Spiel. A Event Runner-up. No one likes to take a loss, but you learn and still have some fun along the way. More curling this weekend during the Bev Schroeder Memorial Junior Spiel. We both won our first games on our 4 person teams.

We are 3-0 and will play in the A Event Final tomorrow at 2:15pm . Right afterwards, we play in the Bev Schroeder Memorial Junior Spiel on different 4 person teams. A lot of curling happening over the next several days. (Our niece came to cheer us on.)
